Cornette/Russo problems

Quote:
The general feeling is that Jim Cornette won't stay around in TNA much longer if Vince Russo stays. At first, he said he would stay out of loyalty to Jeff Jarrett and Dutch Mantel, but by the time he got to Orlando for the PPV/Impact tapings two weeks ago, his mood turned for the worse during the car ride. He said he was quitting, but TNA told him that he couldn't quit. He eventually cooled off and for now, it looks like he'll be staying in TNA, but with a few stipulations; Russo can't talk to him, he can't have anything to do with his segments, and Russo can't be in the same room with him at any time. TNA agreed to this, but many feel its unworkable.

Wrestling Observer
He's already upset one person and he hasnt done squat yet.

Cornette simply needs to grow up and realise he can't have everything his own way!

Will be interesting to see how long all this lasts

I don't think Jimmy has done that much for TNA i mean onscreen. I think Vince could do more to for the company. Jim seems like he is just moaning for sake of moaning.

While Cornette has delivered some fantastic promos, if he won't even be in the same room as Russo that's a bit sad

but i guess he's got that old school mentality and won't

I think it is going to be the old "This town ain't big for the both of us" story, one of them will leave, and I can see it being Cornette, which is a shame. I know Cornette doesn't like Russo old ideas, but I'm not sure if there is some personal heat between the two after they were both in WWF together. If Russo has really changed then it would be nice for Russo and Cornette to try and resolve thier problems, you never know, in thier own right they both are creative and could work well together.

For the sake of TNA I'd love Russo and Cornette to work things out.

Cornette spoke out against several of Russo's ideas during their time together in the WWF, including the Terri Runnells abortion if I remember reading it rightly. I think Cornette feels that Russo helped push him out of the WWF and down to OVW, even though Cornette prospered there far more than he did elsewhere.

I'm also pretty sure that Jimmy hasn't forgiven him or Ferrera for the Oklahoma character in WCW.

Oklahoma was taking the piss out of Jim Ross, it has nothing to do with James E.

rawiswar will become famous soon enough
Russo hasn't upset Cornette as such, the two have just never got along. Cornette disagrees with Russo's writing mentality and always has done since the two clashed in the WWE.

Due to disagreements when they were both in the WWE, it seems like Cornette has hated Russo ever since.

In this video, Cornette calls Russo a ***** or something to that extent.
