Stupid Wrestling Names

I was just thinking about how used to the wrestlers names we are now that we forget how completely stupid some of them are...

"The Big Show". This is now a mans name! He's a big show? What does that mean? OK he's big yes, is he a show? A "Big Show" to me would mean something that is really entertaining, like a huge concert or festival. Paul Wight is just a tall fat man, who has increasingly worse matches every week. Hardly a "Big Show".

HHH or Triple H, is weird too. It comes from his aristocrat gimmick (which was terrible) why would he want to give people a constant reminder of a time when he was a skinny little runt?

I'm sure theres more...

Samoa Joe. It doesn't make any sense in the slightest. For one, why just 'Joe'? And then the biggest problem 'Samoa'. If it was Samoan Joe, then it would still be crap, but at least make sense, but Samoa Joe is horrible. It's like e becoming a wrestler, and being named England Jack, or someone called Spain Enrique.

He should of stuck with his real name (Joe Seannoa).

If Triple H was always known as 'Triple H', then it would be awful, yes, but the way his name changed, means I don't have a problem with it. Pretty much all wrestling fans know why he is called Triple H, so it's not a real problem.

Dusty Rhodes is another. Just....why? It's a horrible name.

Fit Finlay, as he was known, was awful aswell. A name should have some presence. Are we supposed to be afraid of Finlay, because he is 'Fit'? Ridiculous.

Brother Runt - It's just the worst wrestling name i've ever heard, i nearly fell off my chair when i heard thats TNA were going to call him, Matt Hyson would of been a better option.

Abyss - It's such a crap wrestling name, Abyss means "an Extremely Deep Hole" (according to Oxford Dictionary) so why in gods name would you call a Wrestler "an extremely deep hole".

Senshi - Does this actually mean anything? If Low Ki didnt want to sign the name Low Ki over to TNA why didnt TNA just use "Loki" or "Low-Kee", anythings better than Senshi

I reckon Joe should use his f4w name of "Samoa Jones". Viscera is another horrible name, still using the old Ministry name I see, for no reason. Still it's got to better than "Mable".

The Blue Meanie I like because I am a huge Beatles nut. "Carlito Carribbean Cool" is really bad, I like the sound of Carly Colon a lot better.

GI Bro was an absolutely awful name for Booker T. I remember tuning into that episode of WCW Nitro when Booker introduced himself as GI Bro-and I was like WTF?

While Mr Ass is another bad name for obvious reasons.

Thurman 'Sparky' Plugg. I understand he's a racing car driver and that with such a prominent gimmick, the names gotta suit, but Thurman!? That's so stupid, it's funny.

T.L. Hopper. He was a wrestling plumber, by coincidence the 'T.L.' stood for Toilet Lid. Rubbish!

You could pretty much list the entire cast of the mid card from the WWF 'New Generation'

Brutus Beefcake may be the king of stupid names, closely followed by Mr Ass. Yes, Mr Ass. Why in the hell would you want to call yourself/agree to be called Mr Ass!? His theme was "I'm an ass, man" I added a comer for comic effect. The thing with Mr Ass which, now I think of it put's him above Beefcake Barber, is the fact that his real name, is far more ridiculous than his crap ring names!

Rio Rogers also was retarded. Yes he's a cowboy, we get it.
