***Official*** Raw Report (11/11/02)
The fireworks went off in the arena and we're just six days away from the Survivor Series, live on pay per view from Madison Square Garden!
A shot of the backstage area was shown and Shawn Michaels was sitting down reading a newspaper and you have to wonder what he's up to tonight! WWE World Tag Team Championship -Christian and Chris Jericho (c) vs. Kane and Rob Van Dam Rob Van Dam's music hit in the arena to start it off and he's teaming up with Kane against Chris Jericho and Christian for the World Tag Team Championship belts! Y2J and Christian came out to the theme song "King of my World," done by Saliva. RVD started it off in the ring against Chris Jericho and the fans heavily chanted "RVD, RVD!" as the two were about to lock it up. RVD and Chris tied it up in the center of the ring and Chris got RVD in a side headlock but RVD got out of it but Chris quickly reapplied the hold. RVD then whipped Chris off the ropes and Chris came back with a shoulder block to knock RVD down. Kane gave Chris Jericho a choke slam in the ring but the referee was busy on the outside of the ring with Christian and RVD. The referee finally got in the ring to make the count but Christian broke it up and then Kane was nailed with a low blow that went undetected by the referee. RVD hopped to the top rope but Jericho nailed him and then Christian shoved him to the outside of the ring and Jericho was there to meet him with a beat down. Kane started to go for the choke slam on Christian but Jericho interfered and then Y2J and Christian took Kane down with a double team suplex. RVD then came off the top rope with a cross body on both Y2J and Christian. As the referee restrained RVD, Kane planted Christian with a choke slam and then Jericho got in the ring and laid Kane out with the Championship belt. RVD then knocked Jericho out of the ring and then he went to the top rope and came off with the frog splash on Christian! Kane pinned Christian but Chris Jericho broke it up with a chair shot and then he nailed both Kane and RVD with the chair a number of times and then celebrated, as if he just won the Elimination Chamber or something. Winners by DQ, Kane and Rob Van Dam but still World Tag Team Champions, Christian and Y2J Terri caught up with Y2J and Christian and Chris said that what he's doing is single handedly softening up every single ass clown that's in the Elimination Chamber with him on Sunday. Why? Because no one is winning that match but Jericho. Christian said the best part is, if someone can't make it to the Elimination Chamber, Eric Bischoff told him that he will get the spot! He doesn't care if he has to beat his own tag team partner, Chris Jericho, he'll do it! Chris Jericho then knocked down Christian and said that no one is winning the match but him! Booker T was shown and Gregory Helms showed up as an Ace Reporter and then he asked Booker for his thoughts on entering the Elimination Chamber at Survivor Series. Booker said that he's been doing more thinking than Abraham Lincoln, but he's been thinking about kicking Triple H's ass, tonight! Goldust showed up and he said he couldn't help but notice that his microphone is almost as big as his! What's green and gold and has victory all over it? Goldust and the Hurricane as they team up against Steven Richards and Test! Greg asked Goldust what he thinks of Test calling his fans Testicles and Goldust said that he'll be talking about the Golden Globes, not Testicles! Jeff Hardy was shown in the backstage area and he's up against Lance Storm, next! -Jeff Hardy vs. Lance Storm Jeff Hardy made his way out to the ring for some one on one competition against Lance Storm, who was accompanied to the ring by his tag team partner, William Regal. Jeff and Lance locked it up and Lance turned Jeff around and gave him a couple shots to the back and then he whipped him off the ropes and Jeff slid under Lance and Lance grabbed Jeff's foot only to get knocked down by a mule kick. Jeff nailed Lance with his trademark Whisper in the Wind and then he pinned him but only got a two count. On the outside, William Regal attempted to get at Jeff Hardy but the referee restrained him. Jeff rolled Lance into the ring and when the referee got in the ring to check on Storm, Regal nailed Jeff. Tommy Dreamer stormed to the ringside area to make the rescue but was knocked down by Regal. Jeff Hardy gave Lance Storm the Twist of Fate and then he finished him off with the swanton bomb to get the win! Winner - Jeff Hardy They replayed the footage from last Monday night when Victoria brutally beat and stripped down Terri in the backstage area. Eric Bischoff looked on with a smile on his face and then Terri showed up. Terri told Eric that he looks like he's in the greatest mood and Eric said it's like Christmas come early and then he talked about the Elimination Chamber Match. Terri asked Eric what he wanted to see her about and Eric wanted to let her know that he made a match tonight between Terri and Victoria for some revenge. Terri didn't like that and she said she doesn't want anything to do with the woman. She's a psycho and she doesn't want to wrestle her! Victoria was shown on the TV screen and she's in the ring and she told Terri to bring her pretty little blonde hair out to the ring. She's got pretty little eyes and pretty little puppies just like Trish Stratus! You see, Victoria has a Hardcore Match with Trish for her Championship at Survivor Series and since Trish and Terri have so much in common, Victoria is going to start tonight by annihilating Terri! Terri turned to Eric and said that Victoria is demented! Terri comes here to be an interviewer on RAW. She's not a wrestler and she doesn't want to wrestle Victoria. Eric told Terri that she's got a couple options. Terri has a daughter at home, huh? She depends on Terri, right? Terri can either go to the ring and convince Victoria not to have the match or go home and tell Dakota that there will be no Christmas! -Terri vs. Victoria Victoria remained in the ring during the commercial break and after the break, Terri's music hit and she made her way out to the ring with a mic in hand. Terri said that she may be very small in stature, but she's a big enough person to admit that Victoria is the better woman. Last week, she proved her physical dominance over her and there's nothing left to prove. Victoria is the better woman, so let's call this match off. Victoria said fine, the match is off and then Terri started to leave but Victoria pulled her back, telling Terri that it doesn't mean that she won't rip her head off! Victoria then nailed Terri with a microphone and then she started tearing her shirt off and stomped away on her after she ripped it off. Terri eventually got up and hit Victoria with her shoe and then she got on the back of Victoria and choked her until Victoria pulled Terri down to the mat for more of a beating. Victoria tossed Terri through the middle rope and then gave her a body slam on the steel ramp and then slammed her into the steel steps. Victoria rolled Terri into the ring and went to beat on her some more but the referee finally interjected, only to get a low blow and then tossed out of the ring. Victoria then slid out of the ring and went under the ring for some weapons and pulled out a ladder and slid it onto the ring apron. Victoria got in the ring and Trish came out and jacked the ladder into the face of Victoria and then she got in the ring and knocked Victoria down and out of the ring with a hard kick to the head. Trish then mounted Victoria on the outside of the ring and hammered away on her with a number of right hands until a number of WWE officials came out to break it up. Winner - No official match Dave Batista was shown walking through the backstage area and he came across Ric Flair. Flair introduced himself to Batista and said it was an honor to meet Batista. Flair told Batista that he's been watching him since his debut on Smackdown! and he's really impressed and is glad he's on RAW. What a physical specimen. He may even be as good as the Champ, Triple H. Flair wished Batista good luck but Batista pretty much ignored him and went on his way. -D'Lo Brown vs. Dave Batista D'Lo Brown made his way out to the ring for a one on one contest against the newcomer, Dave Batista! Batista got in the ring and got ready to pose on the ropes but D'Lo attacked him from behind and then D'Lo gave him some right hands until Batista whipped him off the ropes and gave him a back body drop. Batista knocked D'Lo down with a clothesline that sent D'Lo spinning through the air and back into the corner and that's where Batista charged at him with a hard clothesline that bounced D'Lo off his feet and down onto the mat. Dave Batista picked D'Lo Brown up in a sit down power bomb and a pin for a three count to get the win! Winner - Dave Batista Shawn Michaels was shown walking backstage and he's on his way to the ring, next! Shawn Michaels made his way out to the ring and the fans cheered for the Heartbreak Kid as he made his way out. Shawn got on the mic and said by now, everyone knows the belief system of Shawn Michaels. They know that he believes in his God and they know that he believes in his family and he believes in himself. Everyone knows that he believes in each and every one of the fans, but he's got to be honest with everyone. He's human... he also believes in retribution! This Sunday at Survivor Series, he will be one of six men to compete in the first ever Elimination Chamber Match! Shawn doesn't even know what an Elimination Chamber match is but then again, he didn't know what a Ladder Match was and he was the first to compete in one of those. He didn't know what a Hell in a Cell match was, but he was the first to compete in one of those. And he didn't really know what a Marathon Match was, but he said "what the heck, I'll be the first to compete in one of those!" So Shawn figures, how tough can it be? It's only been four years. It was only a career ending back injury. It was only partial paralysis. What's to keep him from becoming the new World Heavyweight Champion? It could happen, then again, maybe it won't. For the first time in four years, he's going back to Madison Square Garden and he said this once and he's going to say it again; he's no longer the Heartbreak Kid, the show stopper... He's just him, Shawn Michaels. But he figures that ought to be plenty to make sure that Triple H does not walk out of Madison Square Garden the World Heavyweight Champion. He and Triple H have been friends for a very long time. They've traveled down very similar roads but they have wound up at two very different places in their lives. Shawn is a very forgiving man but Triple H tried to take his livelihood and that, Shawn cannot forgive. Shawn doesn't care if it's Chris Jericho, RVD, Booker T or Kane who actually has the honor of wearing the Heavyweight Championship, his goal is simple and that's to do everything in his power to make sure Triple H does not walk out of Survivor Series the World Heavyweight Champion. And you know, the word of God says "All things are possible to those who believe." Quite honestly, Shawn believes that this Sunday night, the new World Heavyweight Champion will be Shawn Michaels! Triple H's music hit in the arena and he made his way out to the stage and got on the mic, saying Shawn believes, huh? Shawn believes that he can become the World's Heavyweight Champion because God said so? Triple H said that in this arena, Triple H is God! The fans chanted "HBK, HBK!" and Triple H repeated himself and the fans booed heavily. Triple H said that he believes that he's going to come to that ring and kick Shawn's ass! Triple H tossed the mic down and walked towards the ring and quickly got in the ring and he and Shawn Michaels exchanged right hands and then Triple H knocked Michaels down with a hard clothesline. Shawn slowly got up and Triple H planted him with the Pedigree and then he talked the trash as Shawn was down and out. After that, Triple H smiled and then he got out of the ring and got a sledge hammer and tossed it into the ring as Shawn held his neck. A number of WWE officials stormed to the ring to stop Triple H from doing anything and Earl took off with the sledge hammer and Triple H tried to fight off the officials but was escorted out of the arena! Shawn left on his own power, but he seemed to have a lot of pain in his neck. -Bubba and Spike Dudley vs. Three Minute Warning Bubba and Spike Dudley made their way out to the ring accompanied by Jeff Hardy and at the Survivor Series, it will be a Six Man Tag Team Tables Match with Jeff Hardy and the Dudleys against Three Minute Warning and Rico, but tonight, it's the Dudleys against the Three Minute Warning! Jamal got right in the ring and got it on with Bubba Ray Dudley and the two exchanged right hands until Bubba backed Jamal into the corner and chopped away on him. Bubba gave Jamal some left hands and when he went for the right, Rosey got in the ring and Bubba moved and Rosey knocked Jamal down. Bubba then speared Rosey, taking him down to the mat. Jamal gave Bubba Ray the Samoan drop to pick up the win for his team! Winners - Three Minute Warning Jeff Hardy went after Rico but Rico got away from him and then he knocked Rosey and Jamal down with a drop kick and then he knocked them out of the ring and took Rico down with a neck breaker. Jeff then went for the swanton on Rico but Rosey and Jamal pulled him out of the ring. Rosey slammed Jeff Hardy in the ring and then Rico and Jamal brought a table into the ring and Spike got back in the ring and went for the Dudley Dog on Rosey but they were able to stop him. Rosey and Rico then put Spike Dudley on the table with Jeff Hardy and Jamal came off the top rope with a big splash on Spike and Jeff through the table! -Chris Nowinski vs. Al Snow Chris Nowinski made his way out to the ring and he's set for a one on one match. Chris got on the mic and he said he's sure by now the fans expect him to come out here and make fun of their town, but tonight, he doesn't want to do that. He wants to talk about something a little more serious and personal to him. You don't have to be a Harvard Graduate to know that Pete Rose deserves to be in the Hall of Fame! He's a legend! If you think Pete Rose should be in the Hall of Fame, then make some noise! The fans cheered and then he asked the fans how stupid can they be? He knew he could make them cheer and he asked the fans if they know that he just manipulated them? The fans deserve a spot in the Hall of Fame of stupidity! That's all right, because it's time to prepare yourself for the student to manipulate the teacher, Al Snow and teach him a wrestling lesson because as Dickens once wrote... What does everybody want? Head! Al Snow's music hit and he made his way out to interrupt Nowinski and he got right in the ring. Chris said he doesn't want to fight Al. He wants to give him a wrestling lesson! Chris took Al down but Al quickly countered and backed Chris into the ropes. Chris and Al both got up and Al took Chris down with a single leg take down and then he put him in a side headlock. Al went for a right hand but Chris cowered down in the corner and then Chris gave Al a cheap shot and then Al responded with a hard slap. Chris rolled Al up and pinned him by using the ropes to get the three count! Winner - Chris Nowinski Al and Nowinski argued and then Chris gave Al Snow another cheap shot and then he beat him down with the book he had in his hand and then Maven stormed to the ring and beat up on Chris Nowinski. Eric Bischoff's music hit in the arena and he made his way out and said that he is going to answer everyone's questions about the Elimination Chamber in just a few moments, but before he does, he wants to talk about Super Tuesday. You see, tomorrow night, RAW talent will be making a very special appearance on UPN where Eric Bischoff will not only present an exclusive 10 man tag team match but an Interpromotional Bikini contest between RAW's own Trish Stratus and Smackdown!'s Torrie Wilson! But enough about Super Tuesday on UPN, let's talk about the Elimination Chamber! They showed a video package of the construction of the Elimination Chamber and it's going to look like Steel Heel. It's a huge structure that weighs 10 tons and it's got a 36 foot diameter. You can't manhandle it and it will hurt you when you hit it. It's not going to be a lot of fun for these guys. Eric then explained the rules... Two men will be chosen at random to start the match. The other four will be locked in individual chambers. Every five minutes, one of those chambers will be open at random and that Superstar will enter the match. Once defeated, that man is eliminated and the match will continue until there is one sole survivor and that man will become the World Heavyweight Champion and once again, Eric Bischoff will prove that he is the most dynamic force in sports entertainment today! Steven Richards walked in on Stacy Keibler who was getting ready for tonight and Steven congratulated her on the job she's doing on promoting Test and he wanted her to do the same thing for him. Stacy said that her hands are full with Test and Steven then asked Stacy to motivate him for tonight's match and that's hitting him with a Singapore cane. Stacy got ready to hit Steven but Test showed up and nailed Steven right in the ass with it and then he laughed as Steven went down in pain. Stacy then said that she likes that and she bent over for Test to hit her but he tossed the cane down. Randy Orton showed up for an update and he let everyone know that he recently suffered a set back and his sling has been bugging his skin, but he got over that and his sling has padding on it now. Randy then thanked the fans and told them to continue to email him. -Test and Steven Richards vs. Goldust and the Hurricane Stacy Keibler led Steven Richards and Test out to the ring for their tag team match against the Hurricane and Goldust! As Richards made his way to the ring, he was noticeably in pain due to the cane shot he took moments ago. Test started it off in the ring against Goldust and Test gave Goldust a knee to the mid section and then some right hands to start it off. The Hurricane nailed Steven with the shinning wizard and then he pinned him but only got a two count as Test broke up the pin. The Hurricane went for a cross body but Test caught him and went to press slam him but The Hurricane hopped down and then Steven Richards got in the ring and did no good as the Hurricane was able to get the advantage on Test by pinning him for a two count. Test laid out the Hurricane with the Test Drive and then he pinned him for the three count to get the win. Winners - Test and Steven Richards After the match, Steven got in the ring and celebrated with Stacy and Test didn't like that so he laid Steven out with the big boot and then he took the mic and told Steven never to touch one of his Testicles! Triple H and Ric Flair were shown walking through the backstage area and Triple H is up against Booker T in a moment and Booker T showed up but a referee restrained him from doing anything. Booker T told Triple H that in the Elimination Chamber, Triple H walking out are slim and none. Triple H tried to say something, but Booker said whether he wins doesn't make a difference but if Triple H wins, it does but it won't just be Booker in there. He's got five guys, five guys, five guys, five guys, five guys whooping his punk ass! Now can you dig that? Triple H told Booker that he's right. He does have five opponents. The thing is, one by one he's going to beat them all until it comes down to just Triple H and Booker T. Now can he dig that? Booker T tried to attack Triple H but WWE officials were there to restrain him as Triple H and Flair headed to the ring. Non Title Match -Triple H vs. Booker T Triple H's music hit in the arena and he made his way out to the ring for his one on one contest against Booker T, which is a non title match. As usual, Triple H was accompanied to the ring by Ric Flair. Booker T got right in the ring and knocked Triple H down with a series of right hands and then he backed him into the corner and gave him a number of right hands as the referee made the count. Triple H fired back by raking the eye of Booker and then he went to work on the five time WCW Champion. Booker T went for the side kick but Triple H ducked it and went for the Pedigree but Booker T fought out of it and gave Triple H a slingshot into the turnbuckle. Booker T then knocked Triple H down with the side kick and then he nailed him with the scissors kick and went for the spinaroonie but Ric Flair got on the top rope only to get slammed down to the middle of the ring by Booker. Booker then did the spinaroonie and the fans cheered and then Booker went off the ropes and knocked both Flair and Triple H down with a double clothesline. Triple H gave Booker T a low blow and then he finished him off with the Pedigree! Winner, the World Heavyweight Champion, Triple H Shawn Michaels stormed to the ring and went at it with Triple H and then he knocked Ric Flair down with a super kick and then Jericho came out only to get knocked down with a clothesline. Jericho then knocked Michaels down with a clothesline and mounted him and gave him a number of right hands and he and Triple H double teamed HBK. Kane and Rob Van Dam stormed to the ring and Kane knocked down Triple H and then he grabbed Jericho and then RVD came off the top rope and hit Kane as he went to hit Jericho. Triple H went for some right hands on Kane but Kane wasn't hurt by them and then Kane gave Triple H a spinebuster and then RVD came off the top rope with the frog splash and Booker T nailed RVD with the scissors kick and then Jericho knocked Booker T down to the mat. Triple H and Chris Jericho exchanged words and then Kane sat up and knocked both men down with a double clothesline and then he went to work on both Triple H and Jericho until HBK got up and Kane gave Jericho a choke slam in the center of the ring and then HBK laid Kane out with the super kick! Shawn went for the kick on Triple H but Triple H blocked it and Triple H went for the Pedigree on Shawn but Shawn countered it and planted Triple H with his own Pedigree! Jericho then got in the ring and laid Shawn Michaels out with a steel chair and he stood tall as the show went off the air! |

Jim Ross on the show made quite a tasteless remark about it being disrespectful for Storm and Regal to bring the Canadian and British flags to the ring on Veterans Day because clearly in WWE World only American veterans should be remembered.

Good show. I loved the ending with Jericho left standing, but sadly that will probably mean that he will be eliminated early.

Taken from ProWrestling.com
- In what has to be really, really scary news to WWE, the pre-PPV edition of Raw scored just a 3.1 cable rating, with a 4.8 share, according to Nielsen Media Research. The show did hours of 3.2 and 3.1, meaning that not only did the show not build an audience from hour one to hour two, but it actually lost viewers. It's considered a bad night when hour two doesn't grow considerably from hour one. It's a disaster when it goes backward. The 3.1 is right around what WWE was doing in late 1997, when they were getting beaten on Monday nights by WCW Nitro. There is no real way to paint anything but a very negative spin on the rating. This is very bad news for WWE. Vince, start sh*tting your pants, cas you're about to hit rock bottom, and it is gonna hurt. |

Raw Rating *Spoiler*
Raw on Monday got a 3.1, I'm sorry but that's just pathetic. I mean they were getting that in the war with WCW when WCW were getting like 2.7, and now with all those possible viewers they are only getting that, just shows how many viewers they have lost.
Hey. merged the two threads as I didnt want two threads covering the same thing. Hope this is ok. Thanks.

This was on 1Wrestling :
LOW RAW RATING CAUSES CONFUSION IN WWE by Dave Scherer As you all probably know by now, Raw did just a 3.1 cable rating this past week. The word I am getting out of Titan Towers is that the top brass is "confused" as to why the show, which internally they thought was pretty good, did such a low rating. As of right now, no fingers are being pointed at anyone associated with the program as being the cause of the recent steep ratings decline. While many feel that any of the following or combination of Vince McMahon's ideas for the show, Brian Gewirtz's writing and/or the HHH Effect are direct reasons for Raw's decline, the McMahons are said to not be in agreement on that. They also seem to be oblivious to the possibility that the Katie Vick angle has alienated viewers of the program who haven't, as of yet, come back. I have heard from a few WWE sources that Vince McMahon liked this week's show and was, again, perplexed at why the rating dropped so low. I will be glad to give my take on that. As the chart I posted on the Newsline the other day showed, since the brand extension started, Raw has lost 43% of their audience while Smackdown has only lost 3% through the last episode of each show. The reason for that, in my opinion, is that Smackdown has been a consistently good, pro wrestling style show while Raw has been a scattershot program that seems to change directions from week to week. The numbers don't lie, and it's pretty obvious why each show is doing what it's doing. As I have said many times, we are at a period in the business where there are no "bigger than the business" stars in WWE right now. The simple fact of the matter is that the business gets mainstream attention and casual fans when they have those kinds of personalities to grab the fans that don't care a lick about wrestling, but will tune in to see what Hulk Hogan in the 80s or The Rock and Steve Austin in the 90s and early 2000s are up to. Those fans watch almost in spite of the fact that there is wrestling on the show. Without those top guys, they don't tune in. Smackdown has realized that and marketed their show to the people who are watching, the hardcore fans. Raw, on the other hand, tried to put HHH into the Austin role and the ratings have tanked. If the WWE braintrust is really wondering why the numbers went down, to paraphrase a famous politician, "It's the wrestling, stupid". As I said above, the numbers don't lie. Since the split, Raw has gotten hammered and Smackdown has stayed even. It's pretty obvious why that is.
