TWO/W101 Top 50 UK Scene wrestlers 2007

Hi,

First off, I'd like to thank everyone who took part in the voting.

Secondly, I would like to point out that this list is not a definition of ability, who's better than who etc etc, it is a representation of a cross section of wrestler and fan opinion, of which holds measure to the individual's criteria.

Finally, I know the temptation will be to look at it and criticise, however, had you wanted to affect the order, whinging about it after the event is pointless, this aims to promote the individuals named in the top 50 and discuss why they have been recognised, not to argue over placements, so try to be big boys about it huh?

Wow, some surprises there. Spud being so low for one, Tommy Gunn being so high for another.

I know Spud has had a bit of backlash recently, but now that he started a heelish gimmick I figured he would get a bit more support. ...not like I voted for him mind. lol

Yes there were a few!

Tommy Gunn is well respected as a hard worker and works for a lot of companies, I'm guessing that he has exposure and has impressed.

As for Spud, not sure what's going on there, but I would think that a guy his size being heel just wouldn't work (unless he's doing the Spike Dudley commander in charge oftwo beefcakes and not wrestling himself). Perhaps that is the reason?

Dont know, I havent seen his heel gimmick. But from what I heard it was well recieved.

Tommy is a great worker for sure, I just didnt think so many would rate him that high is all.

Spud's new gimmick is basicly him being the front guy from that band The Towers of London. It's growing on me slowly, not too keen on getting spat on by wrestlers tho, and he spits at the crowd every 2 minutes

Interesting to see that most of the wrestlers on that list are new entries, which shows that either people's tastes have changed and they are probably viewing new promotions etc.

I am disappointed that a couple of wrestlers who I would have liked to see on the list didn't make it (I'm not whinging, just saying

).

Probably to level it out, some of those new entries had a placing in the 2005 top 50, so it's due to perhaps them having a bad year last year, or time away from the spotlight or in other cases no friends.

The real question is, do the new entries have the staying power?

Spud should be in the top 10. he is an amazing worker. His matches are awesome especially the one at ROH in broxbourne. Also me and Spud are like best mates. We have each others numbers and everything.
