Randy Savage

I've just heard, apparantly he is in negotiations for "one last run". Jeez just what we need. Admittedly Savage was one hell of a performer, even 5 years ago, but after he borrowed some tripper juice in 99, he's been absolute pathetic. Unless he puts the mid card guys over, Randy please stay away and marry some 20 sumthing shoplifting bimbo with more fake parts than a Japanses VW Beetle. Randy v Flair WM19 anyone?

I'm getting fed up of this "One last run" stuff. I enjoyed it when Flair came back. After a month of Hogan returning, I was sick of him. I was fed up of Nash before he even got injured the first time. Now there's talk of Savage returning for "one last run".

WCW used to be the laughing stock of wrestling for their Old Timers dominating the main event scene. I'm sorry, but no matter what anyone says, Savage, Undertaker, Hogan and even Flair aren't wrestling just now to put over younger talent, they're doing it for themselves.

Savage will just be another guy who boosts the ratings by 0.1 for the first 2 weeks after his debut, then just becomes boring.

There's no Quick-Fix talent left to be signed by Vince. 99% of anyone who's anyone in the US wrestling scene is employed by WWE. If Savage signs, and the ratings go down, it's just a matter of time before Goldberg and Steve Austin are brought back.

What happened to faith in your own talent? Oh, it died like just about everything else worth something in wrestling.

I for one hope he comes back, but this only for one reason...

Nostalga

Having not gorwn up watching these men, I'd love to see them back. Of course I've got videos with them on them, but its not the same. I presume the majority of people glad of these "last run" wrestlers provide the same reason as me?

Randy Savage

WWE must be reaching deperation point if they are thinking about Savage. Not too long ago NACHO MAN and HUCKSTER were comedy characters employed by Vince to ridicule Savage and Hogan as old has beens. I can understand the short term financial gains but this is at the expense of mid carders such as Lance Storm, Regal, and Christian. These are guys with Wrestling talent who can boost ratings if given an opportunity.

It is a good job that WWE have no serious competition otherwise they would be going down the same road of ruin as the WCW. Maybe Bischoff is pulling the strings regarding the old timers.

Surely the WWE can't bring anymore old guys in. Its getting beyond a joke. I could live with Flair coming back, although he has had too much time in the ring for my liking. I cannot stand Hogan, legend or not. The WWE should be concentrating on who they have on their current roster rather than bringing in anyone else.

Yeah I've been a huge Savage fan over the years. He was my favourite wrestler for a long time but I'm fed up of bringing these old stars back.

It creates an initial excitement that lasts not long at all, and then you're stuck with a useless star who can do nothing other than talk on the mic.

I wasn't excited by Hogan/Flair/Nash/Hall, and nor will I be by Savage.

They've all been great at times in their career but those times have gone.

The thing is that if Savage loses to for instance Edge, he's not really putting him over anymore because he's not that big a star anymore.

See what they've done with Hogan? After he put over the Rock, none of the others were really put over at all because he was just getting beaten by everyone.

The last time WWF sucked they managed to find Austin and the Rock and a decent stable in d(x) and get things back on track. They didn't do it by bringing back Bob Backlund, the Iron Sheikh and Hillbilly Jim.

With all the talent they have in their roster surely they can find another Rock/Austin type star to push to the moon and get the company back on track.
