This just came out on dvd over here, I'm wondering if it's any good ?

I bought this yesterday. I didn't actually see the ppv at the time so I only had a rough idea of what happened and I have to say I wasn't disappointed.

I was glad to see they stayed true to the original ECW rather than have it in a big arena with 20,000 people and pyro and titantron etc......with the exception of the WWE invasion it really felt like an authentic ECW ppv.

For me the match of the night was Mike Awesome vs Masato Tanaka. Talk about a bumpfest, I especially loved the spot when Awesome powerbombed Tanaka from the ring apron through the table on the floor.

Many other entertaining matches including:

'Lionheart' Chris Jericho vs Lance Storm
Rey Mysterio vs Psicosis
Eddie Guererro vs Chris Benoit
Rhyno vs Sabu

Also includes some entertaining shoot promos from RVD & Paul Heyman and alternative commentary from JBL.

Most definitely a worthy candidate for best ppv of 2005.

Ive got the PPV taped, and on my com and i agree it was the best PPV of the year and i will be spashing out my £8.99 for the original
