In Your House 1
Bret Hart v Hakushi 4/5 One always wonders the logic behind fueding the top drawing star in WWF at the time with a lower-carder like Hakushi but the quality of this match makes all those thoughts go away. It really is superb. I always liked Hakushi and obviously Hart is one the greatest of all time and this is a tremendous opener. Jeff Jarret and The Roadie v Razor Ramon 3.5/5 The Jeff Jarrett/Razor fued was awesome at the time and I really consider the two guys as some of my favourites. This match was a handicap match (billed as the first on a WWF PPV). Its Roadie's (roaddog) first match and he doesnt do too bad but Razor is the star of the match and JJ is his typically brilliant self. Mabel v Adam Bomb 1.5/5 Kotr qualifier and used just to get Mabel over. Nothing to report here Yokozuna and Owen v Smoking Gunns 2.5/5 At this time Vince just didnt give the WWF tag titles enough time and this match could have been great but ends way too early. Im a big fan of Owen and Yoko too. One or two good spots but not enough time Bret Hart v Jerry Lawler 2/5 By now the fued was getting old, way to old and this match was poor. Bret Hart v Lawler was good in 1993, but way to prolonged in 1995. Sid v Diesel 2/5 I really rate Sid as a worker. He knows the ring psychology and psychology of the fans to a tee and always works the crowd well. However, the in ring action stunk. The powerbombs are impressive, particualry Nash's who gets Sid up to a decent height considering rhe size of them/ Kama v Undertaker 1.5/5 This is a bonus match on the DVD/video and you can see why. Its terrible. The fued itself was an enjoybale one but this is appalling. Bam Bam v Tatanka 2.5/5 I really liked this fued and given the in ring quality of the two workers they gave some good matches. This was only a bonus match on the DVd/video so they didnt go all out but it still was good Overall, despite a great opening couple of matches a few let it down - 2.5/5 |

Watched it over the weekend.....not very good at all.
Kama vs The Undertaker (casket match) 1/5 Bonus match for video/dvd. These two constantly gave a string of bad matches and were paired several times. The fued was fine until they get in the ring. Bret Hart vs Jean Piere Laffite 1.5/5 Bret hart not even on the main card? Resigned to a warm up match for video only? It was poor as well. Sycho Sid vs Deisel (lumberjack match) 0.5/5 Possibly the worst WWF title match ever with one of the weakest endings Ive seen in any title match. Poor all the way. A fued that again was good until they got in the ring where it counts. Sid is great when he's got a smaller guy in there but these two did not work Yokozuna & Owen Hart vs Lex Luger & Davey Boy Smith 2/5 Ok i guess. Some nice spots and a lot of history between all the guys. Owen takes a nasty back drop from bulldog that Im suprised didnt injure him. By this point though the PPV was dragging Jeff Jarret vs Shawn Michaels - 3/5 The only thing to save the night. JJ had previously sung (read mimed) his song and was now 'going to proove he was the greatest wrestler'. I love JJ. I love Hbk. The match didnt dissapoint and was very good. Some have said its one the best IC matches in the 90's, but it wasnt. It just was shining star on a bad PPV. Bam Bam Bigelow vs Henry Goodwin 1.5/5 I really rate Bam Bam and he put on a poor match with a poor opponent but still had one or two good moments. Men On a Mission vs Razor Ramon & Savio Vega 2/5 Only gets a 2 as Im such a fan of Hall at this time of his career. Mabel was pretty over too at this point and was booked well. Still a bit of a stinker of a match saved by a few good spots. 1-2-3 Kid vs The Roadie 2.5/5 Roaddogg's second PPV match (or maybe third) and it was ok thanks largelly to the excitment of the 123 kid (sean waltman). A good opener to a bad event OVERALL - 2/5 JJ and HBk save it from being a 1. Really a poor IYH. One of the worst WWE PPV's |
