Survivor Series 1987 - The first Survivor series.

Andre the Giant, One Man Gang, King Kong Bundy, Butch Reed, & Rick Rude vs. Hulk Hogan, Paul Orndorff, Don Muraco, Ken Patera, & Bam Bam Bigelow - 3.5/5

An unexpected ending give that this was 1987 in the heat of Hulkamania. Some of the guys dont get a look in at all, such as Butch Reed and Patera who virtually are only there to make the numbers up. Bam Bam is his usual great self and Orndorff is on fire. Andre plays a good game with his taunting and does his usual stuff in the ring. The crowd was absolutley pumped during this match and it was a decent main event.

Tito Santana & Rick Martel, Paul Roma & Jim Powers, Jacques & Raymond Rougeau, The Killer Bees, and The British Bulldogs vs. The Hart Foundation, Haku & Tama, Demolition Axe & Smash, Nikolia Volkoff & Boris Zuhkov, and Greg Valentine & Dino Bravo - 3/5

Again the crowd are so pumped and despite there being 20 men around the ring, the sevral tags a minute keeps things going. Some dont get in though but the stars of the match are Bret, Dynamite, Greg Valnetine, Dino Bravo and Haku who are all legends and all did well. Some very nice spots.

Fabulous Moolah, Rockin' Robin, Velvet McIntyre, & The Jumping Bomb Angels vs. Sherri Martel, Lelani Kai, Judy Martin, Donna Christanello, & Dawn Marie 2.5/5

Want to see wrestling that was about 15 years ahead of its time! Look at the jumping bomb angels in this match. So much better than the rest of the talent and so much better than the womens divison to come until about 2001/2002 when they started getting good in the ring. Lelani Kai and Velvet McIntyre are both great womens wrestlers too and overall a nice match.

Randy Savage, Ricky Steamboat, Jake Roberts, Jim Duggan, & Brutus Beefcake vs. Honkytonk Man, Danny Davis, Harley Race, Hercules, & Ron Bass 3.5/5

You can hardly hear the bumps in this one as the crowd are so exicteable. Look at the line up in this one.....take out Duggan and Davis and you have 8 legends (beefcake was good until he turned into one of the most annyoing faces ever). Randy Savage and Steamboat are hot of thier WM3 classic and now team up to partake in this glorious match. Superb spots for the time and so many legends on one match.

Overall - So many of the top competitors in world wrestling on the card at one time in what was a fresh new event. The crowd were so pumped and WWf was just coming off the back of WM3 which drew about 90,000 and is still the most meorable wrestling event at all time for millions. WWf at the time was redefining what it was to be a global promotion and sure enough this helped

3.5/5
