I don't even know Chris but trust me I am touched like all of the rest of you. It is just not fair to say goodbye to a 33 year old healthy man. God dam it. It is so horrible to see him go in such a horrible way.

R.I.P. Chris you will be missed by us all

Just goes to show that there's no such thing as a minor surgery these days.

RIP Chris.

I fear for Tammy in the next few days or weeks, I really hope there's a support system in place for her.

Ah, come on now, that's going W-A-Y too overboard!!! I knew Chris personally, going back about fifteen years and certainly agree he was a likable guy and talented worker. But I suspect even Chris HIMSELF would find the notion of him in a Hall Of Fame is going too far. Why? Because someone who loves the business that dearly wants to keep a Hall reserved for the very best with exceptionally lengthy runs. The easier it is to get into a Hall, the less of an honor it is to get in. (I know, you can nitpick about Vince's driver being in...but you know what I mean. I'm talking generalities here.)

I'm not suggesting Chris doesn't deserved to be mourned and remembered; but, with all due respect, let's keep this thing in perspective, okay?

This shocked me in a way much different to the announcements of deaths over the last few years. I think it is because he was still active, and I was following him in TNA used to seeing him wrestle on TV every week. I have a lot of respect from seeing him on ECW and beyond, and will be genuinly missed.

No. If they're gonna induct anyone who died it would turn into some sympathy segment with no value.

Chris Candido Passes Away At Age 33
Date Added: April 29, 2005

Chris Candito (aka Chris Candido) passed away earlier today at the age of 33.

Details of his death are still sketchy right now. There are conflicting reports about the cause of death, and police in Matawan, New Jersey, where he lives, were not able to confirm his death.

Candito suffered a bad leg injury at the TNA Lockdown pay-per view this past Sunday, and underwent surgery for the injury on Monday. He then appeared at the TNA Impact! tapings as a manager on Tuesday night before returning home.

Candido was a big part of the Impact! show that will air tomorrow on FOX Sports, interfering and leading to The Naturals winning the NWA tag-team titles over America's Most Wanted.

A sad day in pro wrestling indeed. For me my memories of Chris"No Gimmicks" Candido goes all the way back to the Smoky Mountain wrestling days when him and Boo Bradley was a team. Then when he came to ECW to help form the triple threat with Shane Douglas,Lance Storm, and Brian Lee.

Plus I remember when he and Lance Storm was the ECW tag team champs.Great duo they were. And of course who can forget when he and Dr.Tom Pritchard(along with Tammy Lynn Synch aka Sunny) were the bodydonnas in the WWE. It looked like he was starting to get his groove back in TNA too.

Another wrestling superstar that died way too young. Godspeed Chris Candido. You will be missed.
