he would still never talk people into matching his matches which is the point of mic work so therefore it wasn't great

Ummm, except he did. He made people care about what he was doing, or at least in making people want to see him get his ass kicked.

He was one of the few good things about WCW at the end.

Except, as Darkstar said, he did. The period of time after he first came in and started winning all the titles then rebranding them as Canadian championships, he used his dry, monotone delivery to perfection. His entire "If I can be serious for a minute..." gimmick was a great use of his mic work.

You're doing what you did in the e-fed as well; being branded boring doesn't mean you are boring.

Perhaps he's just keeping WWE sweet for a job as an agent down the line. Can't blame him for that I know, but then it becomes hard to take anything he says seriously when he just sounds like one of those fat youtube geeks giving their "shoots" about the "business.
Ahem...

He questions the sanity of one segment when it was clear to anyone that watched wrestling that impact was about a million times better than Raw at that time? Hardly the same level of anger. I didn't see any personal insults in there either.

Where was the personal insults?

He actually says Anderson is a good talker who delivered some god awful promos.

Regarding the segment, he also asked the question how is it supposed to make you want to watch the match?

Maybe it's more anger because WWE can afford to promote things badly and do dumb things, while TNA really can't.

TNAfanboys really don't understand the reason everyone gets so frustrated at TNA is because they really want them to succeed, yet they fail on the most simple and basic things like advertising a match and building a straightforward feud.

WWE could book a rubbish angle yet have the foresight to promote the sh*t out of it, make a great video package to paper over big cracks and hype it like it's the biggest thing ever (ala Cena/Orton) even though everybody knows it isn't.

Not to mention Storm's probably more angry at Kennedy because he knows he's got more free reign than the WWE guys, is talented on the stick and can sell and make a feud, yet would rather take the Kevin Nash approach of wanting to appear cool to your dwindling audience rather than make any money.

Just heard somewhere that only 90% of homes in USA have Spike while 100% have USA Network (the channel RAW's on). Just thought that was an interesting note.
I still feel TNA need to work at getting their name out there. Having some stars appear on or "invade" WWE like DX did to WCW would certainly create some controversy.

Random thought as I watched the show...
  • The recap of last week's stuff between Sting, RVD, Hogan, Flair, AJ and Abyss was very nicely done. Sting, with his facial expressions, actually looks like he's into being a heel this time around... but they STILL didn't show Jeff's Swanton.

  • @ Jeff, RVD, Abyss and Hogan all arriving in the same Hummer.

  • WOW!!! Flair gets busted wide open cutting a promo... THAT'S hardcore.

  • Jeff looked like Barry Windham-as-The-Stalker with that face paint.

  • I had to laugh at AJ Styles calling Jeff Hardy a nobody. I know it was said as a heel being a heel, but still. Also, Styles (who was pretty good on the mic) looked really stupid with that little blob of facepaint on his nose.

  • GIMMICK INFRINGEMENT!!!! Creatures of the Night belong to Undertaker.

  • NASTY BOYS RULE THE WRESTLING WORLD!!! That powerbomb through the table was, well, nasty.

  • Spike looks a lot better than the last time we saw him in TNA.

  • Jimmy Hart just pinned one-half of (arguably) the greatest tag team in wrestling history. "Mouth of the South" is awesome.

  • I really liked Hall's promo.

  • Pope continuing to sell his ankle injury is something I think works so well. His STO is also a thing of beauty... as is Wolfe's hammerlock-legsweep-DDT. The post-match beatdown on Angle was great as well.

  • Daffney is still the hottest woman in wrestling.

  • F*CKING HELL!!! That swing into the ramp to Angelina Love looked brutal.

  • Does Brooke Hogan live in the Impact Zone now?

  • @ sneaky Bischoff listening to private conversations.

  • Hall v Nash was bad.

  • Beer Money work better as heels, so I'm happy they've turned, and Hernandez has the potential to become the TNA uber-face, but only if the promotion run wild with him.

  • The single-man double-suplex is always impressive.

  • What I really liked about Hernandez v Beer Money was that it played out in a logical manner. By that, I mean that the tag-team were just too much for the single wrestler and it eventually caught up with him. I've been sick of watching one guy (unless it's a giant like Khali, Undertaker, Kane or Big Show... and only when it's a lesser team than the champs or main challengers to the tag titles) be able to take out and dominate a tag team in 2-on-1 contests.

  • SOCKO!!! Ain't no man gonna cut Mick Foley's hair.

  • Shannon Moore's sleeveless jacket has more charisma than Shannon Moore.

  • WOW!!! Was somebody asleep in the back? It's the only reason I can think of for why the Machine Guns got some mic time.

  • I like the idea of pairing Brian Kendrick and the MCMG, but Red can just f*ck off and hide with Hornswoggle.

  • That was a nice little brawl to set up the two X-Division clusterf*cks at Destination X.

  • AJ v Hardy was great, with some brilliant exchanges. The spots where Styles went to flip over the ropes, only to stop and decide not to (pissing off the fans in the process) and the Pele Kick counter to the Twist of Fate were fantastic.

  • OOOOH! The chokeslam through the ramp was awesome. The way it splintered seemed real and AJ's facial expression was priceless.
