That's because it is. Not letting the talent be called "wrestlers" is one thing - but that is stupid.

Also remember that WWE is WWE now, not World Wrestling Entertainment.

It's funny to think that they don't like to push themselves as a wrestling company yet it's the only thing the McMahon's have ever succeeded at.

WWE is still, at its core, a wrestling company....despite however much they diversify and despite being in "sports entertainment" and not "wrassling".


Sure, they're not just a wrestling company....well whoop de doo, Microsoft doesn't just make operating systems, Oracle isn't just databases and Dell doesn't just sell PC's. I believe the phrase "core business" applies here... "core business" being the part of the business without which all other parts of the business would likely fail or become defunct.

When im actively watching wrestling i'd consider myself a pure and entertainment fan interestingly enough. Mostly i like the characters and the storylines these days, but love a good uber technical bout. While i do like a good hardcore bout now and then i rarely go out of my way to watch em. I think the interesting thing is that most old school ECW guys, myself and Maxx included, wouldnt consider themselves hardcore fans.

Currently im definitely a smark. I read results and news every day but watch a handful of stuff a month at most. I gotta say though that im really liking all the good big man stuff going on earlier this year with Henry, Sheamus and Show. I hope theres alot to come from those guys this year and hope that since they seem to be booking monsters pretty good lately that theyll really use Lesnar, Tensai, Ryback, and Brodus right this year.

I agree. As much as I loved ECdub I would never call myself a hardcore fan.
