The chest wallops are kind of like the 10-corner punches, you get the crowd chanting then there is nothing wrong. It can be used for faces and heels.

In what way is he sometimes stereotypical and how's that a no-go?
To me he's just a tough bastard with red hair and pale skin from Dublin, Ireland, proud of his heritage and likes to tell a few stories. Nothing hugely cheesy about that, that makes him a dubious champion.

If he'd come out like a big leprechaun, smoking a pipe and whatnot, then I'd I say wtf for a champ?! But he isn't.

So it was good to see Dean Douglas was not forgotten about in blast from the past.

Personally the whole fable promo really annoys me, it's as if to to say every Irishman tell's a old time Ireland story. Sheamus was a flamed-haired psycho when he debut and that's what he should be now. The fact that he can't cut a promo makes his approach to telling a story really bad
I am the best wrestler in the world. I've been the best ever since day one when I walked into this company.

The Chest Wallops is the best babyface move to come around in a while. There's a sore lack of crowd participation.

That's because they couldn't seemingly care less.

Sheamus is crap as a good guy.

    *sigh*

Alignment changes aren't always the answer. Sometimes you just gotta give a guy time to come into his own. One thing Cena/Rock proved, as well as Danielson to a lesser extent, is that it doesn't matter what alignment you are, the fans are gonna cheer or boo whoever they want regardless of what role creative want them to play.

Hey, if you like him, then great.

Sheamus has done nothing so far, so make me change my opinion on him.

I'm not really a fan, but I do see his potential.

The problem with the net raving on and on about "he's so much better as a heel!" is that about 95% of wrestlers are "better as a heel". Heels naturally have the freedom to do more interesting things and be more dynamic personalities. Thats just reality. But if you turned everyone because they're better as a heel then you'd have about three babyfaces left. Just because a guy can work heel or is "better" to you as a heel doesnt mean they cant be a babyface as well.

I think the difference, in my mind, is allot of excellent heels, make tolerable faces. Randy Orton, Edge and Christian for example, were really good as heels but also capable as a face.

I...just don't see that with Sheamus. I see him as a 100% must never change Heel.
