WWE Friday Night SmackDown
Airing This Week
SmackDown opens with John Laurinaitis and David Otunga coming out. Laurinaitis brings out Teddy Long for one last moment. Laurinaitis shows off his new and improved SmackDown and rips into Long. Long wants to quit but Johnny won't let him. It appears Long is under Laurinaitis' control now.
David Otunga and Mark Henry beat R-Truth in a handicap squash match.
Randy Orton beat Kane in a No DQ match. They fought all around the ring and up the ramp, on the stage before coming back to the ring. The match sees some good spots and brawls with chairs. Orton wins with a RKO after putting Kane into an exposed turnbuckle.
Ryback makes his debut and beats a local wrestler. Our correspondent said the former Skip Sheffield wasn't anything too special.
Daniel Bryan comes out next with AJ Lee and he's pissed off. Fans chant for Bryan but he's not buying it. He tells them to quit mocking him. Lots of "YES!" chants from the crowd. Bryan won't budge and starts dissing AJ before he dumps her. AJ leaves the ring as the crowd chants "YES" and sings "goodbye" to her.
New WWE Intercontinental Champion Big Show beat Heath Slater with a knockout punch. Cody Rhodes was on commentary for the match.
More heat for John Laurinaitis. He arranges a face off between Sheamus and Alberto Del Rio before their match begins tonight so Sheamus can't use the Brogue Kick for another surprise win.
Kelly Kelly comes out for the next match. She ends up distracting WWE Divas Champion Beth Phoenix, allowing Nikki Bella to get a 30 second win. This was apparently a non-title match.
Backstage promo with Damien Sandow from FCW debuting. Apparently he's doing some kind of actor gimmick.
Alberto Del Rio beat Sheamus by DQ when Sheamus got caught with a chair that Del Rio had tried to use on him. Del Rio now earns a future World Heavyweight Title shot. Del Rio leaves while Sheamus gets pissed and takes it out on the referee to end the show!
Dean Ambrose defeated Ezekiel Jackson!US Scene Forum Leader: US Scene Forum

ADR seemed to change nothing when he was on Raw. That promo was just his same old scene. Hopefully he added something new to his ring work. I mean he was fairly good but I would like to see more psychology in his work.

Define what is wrong with his "psychology"?
Also, RYBACK BITCHES. Very Goldberg-y in the ring, but not as explosive obviously. I like using post-Mania as a sort of new season open where they introduce all these new characters.
ALSO, the Bryan/AJ promo was LEGIT F*CKING AMAZING and accmplished so many things its ridiculous. They referenced the chants and they became an organic part of the story, Bryan reacted to them as a heel brilliantly, he cut this amazingly intense promo about losing the title, and he completely turned on AJ and was a total f*cking cockhead to her, to the point where there was an "ASSHOLE" chant that unfortunately never got off the ground. Just an amazing way to not ignore the chants but insert them organically into the existing angle and somehow still keep Bryan as a heel by the end of it.
Having said that, if the crowd was anywhere near as Miami-ish as spoilers claim, then they sure edited a hell of a lot out of it. Not much YESing or Bryan chants outside the Bryan segment, no booing Sheamus, no SIing.
ALSO, the Orton/Kane brawl RULED and was a really great TV match. Orton cant stop having awesome brawls with people, its ridiculous.

Very good Smackdown. I share the opinion that Bryan played the crowd beautifully, and the way he blamed and dismissed AJ was excellently cold hearted. Of course it raises the question of what he's going to use to hide behind now.
And where does AJ go from here? Generic Diva #322? I actually thought it'd be kinda cool to have her and Zach interact and maybe form a partnership down the line.
The laryngitis abuse of power continues to suck the life out of me though. But that's really the only negative from a very good Smackdown.I'm a Daddy - Amy-Rose born on 23rd December 2010

Good WM fallout show.
Orton once again proved why he is the premier worker in WWE, the whole match was another notch on the belt of Orton's career. This and the WM bout have been Kane's best performances since his return.
Bryan was again absolutely fantastic, his delivery of the promo and burial of AJ were all first class. Little annoyed they kicked AJ to the curb so soon as I thought she would slowly turn into a super-bitch alongside Daniel. Would love if they turned Daniel into a ruthless wrestling machine as they did with Kurt a few years back. Bryan could drop all the cowardly behaviour and be completely consumed with Sheamus for embarrassing him at WM.
So glad to see ADR back, he and Sheamus put together a very good TV match. The finish was a bit lame but nonetheless a one on one or triple threat match at extreme rules featuring D'Bryan could work very nicely. You can't leave a mark on the champ's face.
