- WO websiteOfficials from WWE told Bright House Sports network today, which airs the FCW shows in Florida, that they are closing down the promotion and will not be doing anymore television after the final three shows taped last week air.
WWE officials told Bright House Sports that they are folding the promotion, closing the gym, and moving everyone to Stamford, CT for the time being until they figure out what they are going to do with developmental.
Those in WWE also heard news today and were given the impression the company was going to do developmental out of Conneticut and possibly open a second developmental territory.

To do this without even having a contingency plan ready to go is beyond stupid. I've never been a fan of the way they've used FCW as a developmental area and the result of their complacency has led to a raft of not-ready talent coming up to television, but to now have nothing whatsoever for the time being is a serious concern.

They have a deal with OVW, they should arrange something with FCW, they also have a deal with AAA. They should really be investing an all out promotions war.

I think the problem with FCW is that its actually owned by WWE not just run through a deal like OVW so i dont think TNA could make i deal even if they wanted to.

Wow. I did not expect this news in the least. It kind of sucks for the developmental talent as they really have to make a major relocation from Tampa to Stamford (which they have to pay for themselves if I'm not mistaken) on very short notice.
From what I've read, this decision came from Triple H, who is looking to make improvements to WWE's developmental division.
