    The new Muppets movie.

It was pretty good. Really hit hard with the 'meta' stuff (I'm unfamiliar with the canon so I dont know if thats just what they do) but really quite an enjoyable romp.

Johnny English Reborn and In Bruges. Enjoyed the latter more.

Me too, really surprised at how good it was.

Limitless is one of the few recent movies that I actually own. I thought it was amazing. Bradley Cooper showed off his acting chops big time.

It's about time Cooper got to shine. Loved his part in Wedding Crashers and he was the main man in The Hangover films.

Watched Super 8, and really enjoyed that, although the ending was a bit cornball. It took me back to classic films of the 80's like ET and The Goonies.

Bought a small handful of DVD and Blu-Ray to watch, including Rise of Planet of the Apes, Lion King, Cap America, plus some older ones like Blood Diamond, Revolutionary Road, Role Models, Adventureland, Fair Game and District 9.

    Cheers!

Captain America, a film i so wanted to enjoy but just never got into it.

Thought Chris Evans was a bit of a let down.

I quite liked Evans, but, yeah, I was SO up for Captain America, I wanted a f*cking "U-S-A" chant to burst out of the audience mid-film but...nah. Pretty poor story telling, no sense of danger, too much silly sci-fi shit, no drama in supposedly dramatic bits (like his relationship with the English bird, and the death of Bucky) and Nazi bad guys who weren't NEARLY Nazi enough. When you're making a Captain America film, and your main bad guy denounces Fascism in the first act of the film, you done f*cked up. The man bad guy should have been, like, robo-Hitler, and Captain American should have stabbed him through the face with a flag pole baring the stars and stripes, like in that famous picture from Iwo Jima. THAT'S how you make a Captain America film.

It's possibly the only action-movie in history that I've actually WANTED to be more obnoxiously American. U-S-A! U-S-A! U-S-A!
