I think it'd do good to rest the briefcase for a year. We've been overloaded with Mr Money in the Banks recently, so laying it on hiatus til next Wrestlemania is actually quite a good idea.

This may be true, but I feel the timing is perfect for Ziggler to win it and catapult him into the main event. If they wait a year or try to elevate Ziggler some other way I don't have faith in them not to screw it up.

- Wade Barrett will be out of action for 3-4 months and will miss WrestleMania 28. Barrett underwent surgery on his dislocated elbow earlier this week and the injury is said to be far worse than originally expected.

Barrett's injury has caused major changes to WrestleMania 28 as the plan was to have Barrett win the Money in the Bank ladder match and carry the briefcase. WWE decided this week to pull the Money in the Bank match from WrestleMania 28 due to Barrett's injury.

Barrett wrote earlier this week that he would be off Twitter for a few months and the injury is why.

It was announced on SmackDown that Cody Rhodes will defend the Intercontinental Title against Big Show at WrestleMania, so it appears that they are nixing any match between Show and Shaq.

At the same time I do agree with whoever said that the briefcase concept needs a rest after the overload of having five in the last two years. If they arent willing to do babyface or non-surprise cash ins to mix it up they need to lay off because the cash in is stale.

I'm going to miss the actual match more than anything. I love all the MITBs.

Man, an intercontinental ladder match would have totally made up for that...

To be fair to Big Show hypothetically, he was great in the two ladder matches I've seen him in.

I have absolutely no idea if he's been in any others, but I think in theory it could work in a freakshow kind of way. Like Joe in the Ultimate X match.

I should have been more specific - I meant mostly a multiman affair...I totally agree that Show has every reason and all of the means in the world to be in a ladder match, but it feels like we'd need more participants to make up for the loss of MITB.

This years card is really looking great to me, looks like Randy Orton my be heading for a match with Kane plus team Long v team Ace. A solid under-card topped off with a couple of truly big main events, this years mania should be at the very least the best since WM 24
