This DVD was just how expected it to be. F'n GREAT!!!!

I hadnt seen a few of the matches on the tape, due to not having the Sky Sports packages to view the main events (in the UK) so I was glad to see them on this disc. Its more of a match-o-graphy than a documentary in that it doesnt go into how Shawn broke into the business through the main programs. He just talks about the matches and what leaded him upto them. Which is great.

All of the matches feature are at least 4 / 5 * ratings. The extras arent really that impressive as there is no additional matches to the original 7, nor are any of the DX or HBK music videos which I hoped would peek in there. However there is the Shawn Michales "Tell Me A Lie" video tribute, which for those of you who havent seen it, is very impressive. Also there is his "Before they were superstars" interview, which really gives you all the background knowledge about HBK, about him growing up and about how he decided to become a wrestler. The extras are made up mainly of promo's between the two wrestlers involved. The Mankind Promo on there really made me smile, its as great promo by Mick, showing his 'twisted' days as Mankind.

Overall I loved this DVD, I dont own any of the footage on there which was a huge plus. So It gets a 5 out of 5 from me.

However say, if you already own quite a few of these matches then I wouldnt particularly try to get this DVD, as the matches make the DVD what it is.

I got the VHS, and what a F'N tape!

Man, this has to be release of the year. I own the majority of the matches already on it, yet it still made compelling viewing. Also, the quality of picture in the AWA 1986 match is crystal clear!

The VHS gets a 4.9/5 for me, with the DVD surely getting a 5/5

Hello!

I recently bought from the vault shawn michaels DVD, it was superb, i was hooked start to finish, all these matches are classics, this DVD also shows the rockers which was shawn michaels tag team along with marty jannety.

The 2 disc dvd set is also rammed with extra features including a music video, interview segments and some hidden features aswell! although i think they should have included a extra disc and had the fight between shawn and diesal at wrestlemania.. but they have the in your house fight with diesel.. also featured is the first ever ladder match with razor ramon, the classic wrestlemania match between shawn and bret, his fight with mankind, hell in a cell, and his comeback.

This DVD will also satisfy the newbie fan to shawn michaels career. I got it for around 24 pounds here in the UK, this is a must for every shawn fan!

Found an interestin couple of easter eggs on the dvd .if people are interested in em here they are

For the Blow Away Diet Ad, on Disc 1, go to Extras & highlight Be Ready. Go left twice & you will see the ad.

For his emotional speech, on Disc 2, go to Extras & click on Next. From there, highlight Photo Gallery & go left twice.

On Disc 1, go to Extras. Select and highlight Barbershop. Press left on the remote. This will bring up a short story from WWE Confidential with Shawn commenting on his entrance music and video "Sexy Boy".

Bought this on PSP-UMD last week, it was £14.99 & came bundled with Benoits UMD (which I have on DVD, but don't mind owning on UMD too, because it's awesome) Anyway, it just has 4, yes 4 matches on it. The matches are good but it's a HUGE rip off buying it just for 4 matches.
AVOID!!!!

Most titles that start on DVD with loads of extras are always trimmed to hell and back when on UMD because of the limited storage.

You just can't expect a UMD version of a title to be the same as the DVD version, and yet they're about the same price.

Yup, another chance for Sony to stick it to you. Nice of them, isn't it? :P

True, but the Benoit one is fine, it has the documentary & 3 matches, thats fair.
