Hey, I was just wandering if anyone has been to see Lord Of The Rings....I am thinking of going to see it because of the reveiws the film has had..but then again they are usually wrong..has anyone seen, and those who have is it worth going to?

I'm gonna be a lazy git and wait 5 months for the DVD, I find it better then going to the cinema -
You don't have to sit through adverts.
The food and drink is free.
Get to see it when you like and as many times as you want.
The toilet is clean.
Pause button.
The extra features.
Watching it on my big telly in the comfort of my own bed.

Does look like a bloomin good film though !!

I watched the film yesterday - it was EXCELLENT!

I cant wait until the 2nd one now!!

I havent read the book, so I cant compare it, but I loved it. It doesnt really have an ending either, so you got no choice but to wait for the 2nd film, then the 3rd :)

The characters and special effects were great too.

I just got back from watchin' it, I thought it was a great film and the characters were great...but i didnt think it was as good as it was said to be. I thought that the Elves were great because they looked so cool and moved so fast. And thought it hilarious when the dwarf king had a ginger beard and a scottish accént, just shows how steriotypical we are these. One main bonus was No Americans Involved! As we have seen in the past (e.g. Pearl Harbour) The Americans love to ruin great stories!

I just watched it, and with out a doubt it is one of the best films of all time.
