In NJPW news: Japan’s newest bona fide star, Bob Sapp is expected to challenge the IWGP titleholder at their next Tokyo Dome show. Sapp, for those of you that don’t know, if a mixed martial artist, who first found fame in Antonio Inoki’s PRIDE fighting organisation and is now Japan’s hottest new star. The Dome show is on 4/1/03. Masa Chono faces Yuji Nagata for the IWGP title at the Fukuoka Dome on 26/10.

In AJPW news: The promotion’s top star, Keiji Mutoh suffered a knee injury but will work on regardless, Mutoh’s knees are all most internally non-existent now. Shinya Hashimoto has said he’s willing to fill in for his friend whenever he’s needed.
The company has announced that legends Gene Kiniski and Nick Bockwinkel will appear on their 30th anniversary show at the Nippon Budokan Hall on 27/10. There’s also talk of Bruno Sammartino making the show as well as James Blear (first PWF President)
