There is so many different parts of this world that I just can't see any reasoning behind, so I thought I'd make a post ranting about it, instead of keeping it to myself. This will probably be right wing, so I'm sure the PC brigade will enjoy reading over this ;)

Drug Addicts

If there is one problem with the world today, it is drugs. I don’t actually mind them myself. I have taken light drugs in the past, and will in the future too, but the amount of disgusting people who are connected to drugs is unbelievable. The obvious problem is the dealers. These people are scum, and deserve to die. It’s simple. Find out which people are selling them in large amounts, put them in a back of a van, drive them out into some woods, make them dig their own grave and shoot them in the back of the head. A simple solution to an enormous problem. The problem with these people is, what they are doing affects everyone, because the users end up committing crime a lot of the time. I don’t mind them killing the addicts, because they deserve nothing better, but it’s how it affects other people too. Robbery, assault, prostitution, murder and all sorts of other crimes, are often connected to drugs. I can’t find any specific numbers at the moment, but as long as you don’t live in the dark ages, you should know a massive percentage of people who commit crime, use or are in some other way connected to drugs.

Like I said, addicts don’t deserve anything. I couldn’t care less if every drug addict dropped dead tomorrow, because the world would be a much better place, however, myproblem with them comes up when you find out how much time and effort goes into them. These ‘people’ are given so many chances, it’s not even funny. A lot are constantly going in and out of prison, and when they get their, they are offered all different sorts of programs to get them off the stuff. When they get out, it’s the same thing. There’s too many chances to people who don’t deserve it.

If this country was doing great, with money to burn, it wouldn’t annoy me so much, but then you hear about the disgusting treatment old people get. In my opinion, these are the people who we as a nation should take much more care over. It’s an absolute disgrace that you hear so many stories about old people, pensioners and war veterans, living in squalor whilst the money our government has goes on some 20-odd year old smackhead who will never amount to a single thing in his life.

It’s a major problem, and one the government needs to sort out. What I would do is something like this:

Find the addicts and simply warn them about it.

If this fails, give them a 12 months suspended sentence.

If they break this again, they get to serve to prison time.

In prison, no drugs such as methadone.

When the person is released, if they continue to take drugs, they should be given a 5 year prison sentence, without any drugs.

If for some reason they continue, a life sentence should be enough to clean some filth off out streets.

Religion pisses me off to no end...I'm not even going to go into it.

Can't even be arsed arguing with people over it, it becomes to so tedious.

How do you expect them to get clean if they're stuck in jail with no rehab? It'd be no wonder they get back onto them.

How do you expect them to get clean if they're stuck in jail with no rehab? It'd be no wonder they get back onto them. There's no need for rehab. People with willpower will get over addictions by simply not having the drug.

So basically, cold turkey.

It's a disgrace that we feed their dirty habit for them.

Policital correctness. I can understand some situations where PC is needed, but I think of it more as good manners than PC in those situations. PC in general, the way it is now and the goody two shoes types that push it and push it make me sick, because they are living in a land of make believe quite frankly.

Druggies piss me off too. Not dope heads, they seem harmless enough, but the ones who take all the other crap, they piss me off big time. I'm not saying I agree with smoking weed because personally I dont, I've never touched a drug in my life. Its just from the people I know, the ones who smoke dope are less trouble than the ones who drink!

Religion, its the cause of all the major wars and more trouble than it could ever be worth.

Hypocrits, i was round my best mates gf's house on Tuesday, there was a girl there i really liked, when he kissed my mates gf asked us to stop because she claimed it was awkward to watch 2 people kissing, only for her and my mate to do the exact same thing, pissed me right off.

People who abide the law stay out of jail. If your a druggie and a criminal, you'll be in jail and you will have to go cold turkey. It's not about supplying other peoples habits. It's better for them to get off it anyway.

I work for a telecoms company, if you want me to look at your account then when I ask for your phone number then please give me the number INCLUDING AREA CODE! Do you have any idea how little help 765382 (made up on the spot :lol) is? I need the area code as that number combination is used more than once across the UK!
But when I ask for the area code I dont want the post code! GAAAAAHHHH!!

I'm not saying supply other people's habits. There is just a slight difference between that and rehabilitation. Of course its better for them to get off it, but obviously not everyone can go cold turkey and make it.

I know i am a big girl and do not have to have my dad make breakfast. I have just moved back in with my dad after 11 away due to student and graduated loans. I can not afford to live on my own. Anyway since i moved back dad has been making my breakfast before i go to work, which would be really nice if he did not put the toast on at 7:20 when i do not come to the breakfast table until 7:50 as the toast is stone cold and not nice. This pisses me off.

On to the more serious topics although there are lots of wars started to do with Religion i do think religion is needed in this world as it gives you as set of guidelines and morals which define you as a person and help you through your everyday life. I know a lot of people will disagree but that is my view an as a practicing Catholic i know it has helped my throughout my life.

I don't think Religion is needed for a person to be a good moral person, same as there are a lot of religious folks that have done terrible things.

Things that annoy me is basically people who think that another's Gender, colour, religion, disability or Sexual orientation or simply making a bad choice in life such as taking drugs is a reason to deny them their rights or treat them as less of a person.

Jimmy Redman
20-04-2007, 01:11 PM
I agree with Taj in that you dont necessarily need to be religious to be a moral person, but all the same it does help, and I dont think you should ignore the good that it does for people, when blaming it for the world's wars.

I hate rudeness. There's nothing that annoys me more than people not having the common courtesy to say thank you or please. You know, you hold a door open for someone and they just go through. It takes 2 seconds to say thank you! I just make a point of saying 'youre welcome' very loud.

But also on the same level, I do dislike people whom expect a thank you for doing a good deed. I open a door, yes I would appreciate a smile and nod, but I would never demand it as you can't know full well what kind of a day that person is having. People whom expect thanks, particularly these celebrities that flaunt their charity work for what seems like nothing other than seeking the praise they will inevitably recieve from the media, really does get my goat on the same level as your point Nimf.

Now i am not no where religous, i admit that i dont have a faith however i believe that message of being good is spread threw out different religions ect. However what pisses me off is that these inbread rednecks think they are spreading the true word of christ however they seem to be more like a cult than anything.

I have a few.

Political correct/incorrectness. Not so much *being* eitherr, but using that term of phrase as a way to defend what you're saying. "Haha get those n*ggers out of this country. I'm not racist, by the way. Just politically incorrect". No, you're racist, and stupid. "We can't call them black people, we have to call them African Americans. It's politically correct now." Err... **** off? I don't care if it is politically correct. Also, what's wrong with being called black? I'm more offended by being called caucasian than being called white, and I know plenty of black people who have no qualms with me calling them black. Yet were I to call a friend black in front of a member of the PC brigade, I'd be read the riot act. I hate both "PC/PI" terms. To even have to bring them up when discussing a topic these days to justify your position just means you're an idiot, in my eyes.

Televangelists and everyone who has something to do with The God Channel. You judgemental pieces of garbage. One christian film critic used his Brokeback Mountain review to launch a scathing attack on homosexuality, basically telling people to love thy neighbour, but to tell them as many times as humanly possible that they're going to hell. A discussion show on the channel promoted the point that homosexuals were rightly granted laws where they can no longer be discriminated against when applying for adoption, but that christian adoption services have now had to close down because they're not allowed to discriminate. The owners, Rory and Wendy Alec, are so obsessed with promoting this hate-filled message to the whole world and encourage money to be sent in so that they can spread the word of God. It seems to be an unhealthy obsession with money and promoting messages of glorified evil you'd hear from the right-wing scumbags of America rather than being obsessed with the message that the church promotes. Believe me, I've been to more churches than I can count and I've only been to one that pushes such an extreme message (needless to say, we left in a hurry). I can't even be bothered to moan further about televangelists, other than benny Hinn is possibly the biggest fraud ever. I've also made it my aim to one day shame God TV in a major way.

People who jump on the moral bandwagon/high horse over the slightest thing. Can't stand it, like all the people who went nuclear at Drake for the stupid frog thing. Right, so we get that you don't like and think it's cruel and blah blah but as long as he's not doing something illegal and he's not being forced into it who the hell are you to tell him it's right or wrong.

no one on this panet is so morally correct and so free of misdemeanours to be able to shout someone down in that way. We've all done stuff that others or even ourselves find a bit beyond the pale but what gves anyone the right to attack people and take some kind of moral stance against them? Why are you so right?

Also people who refuse to even look at things from someone elses point of view. It happens all to often here, people have opposing views but neither one can even contemplate thinking about what the other person ahs to say, they just shout them down and call them stupid or a retard. That's not a discussion thats ignorance. Everyone has a right to a viewpoint thats different from your own and the least any decent human being should do is take a minute to try and see things from the other persons perspective. You don;t have to agree with them and you don't have to change your mind and you can continue to argue the toss as long as you like but rememebr that in arguing all your doing is trying to get the other person to see YOUR point of view so treat what they are saying with the same respect.

Spiders also pee me off as I hate killing things for no good reason but I hate them so much the ultimatly get washed down a drain or hoovered into oblivion...

Dude, you missed the point but fair enough you could interprit what I said as that. The two things are seperate, my opinion on wether I think Drake is right or wrong doesn't come into it and neither does yours per say becuase I'm not talking about wether in your opinion he's right or wrong. I'm saying it annoys me that people are so "right on" about their moral ascersions. You may hate it and call it animal cruelty but thats your moral "opinion" and I don't see why that has to be hoisted onto someone who doesn't think of frogs in the same league as cats and dogs. I personaly didn't it was funny just a bit immature and pointless but i'm not going to judge Drake or berate him because I can why he thought it was all just a joke. given his age, etc.

I practice what I preach because I don't "have ago" at other people's opinions. I'm pointing out that it annoys me when people get on the moral high horse. Thats not the same as saying they are wrong for having those views. Thats the difference that you seem to have missed. I'm not saying that you can't have a view point that has moral basis only that it annoys the crap outta me when thats the sum total of peoples arguement or there's this huge reaction as if someone has gone out to offened that person specificly.

I'm also practicing what I preach becuase I bothered to think why you would argue what I said and bothered to think "yep, I can see why he'd say that". Plus I'm only stating my own opinion on what makes me annoyed, it doesn't mean you have to think the same as me. I'm not asking people to do things my way or that I'm 100% correct in my assertions. I think it's reasonable for people not to jump on people and give them a fair go and you can agree or disagree with that as much as you like. ;)

oh, and by the way part of what I said was that it shows a lack of respect towards someone's opinion if you call it stupid, so thanks for that Draven....

People who tell you they know someone famous. Yeah so? Should I bow down to you because of it? Still means your a tw*t famous friend or not.

Similar to that, people who lie. I had a friend once who claimed he got from Berkhamsted (next town along) to my town in 1 minute. He drove a 1.6 Corsa. We worked out to that he'd have to be average around 600mph. Don't take us for fools buddy.

People who spunge money off you, don't pay you back, then act all insulted when you don't lend them money after that. I'm not your parents, grow up.

James Blunt. Enough said.

Football commentators who seem to think we cannot see the action, even when its live on BBC. Like Motty going "well from my view on the gantry it seems like he handballed it". Motty, we can see it on a close up replay, no need to tell us your valued opinion, as if it will change our minds over what we saw.

Richard Madeley. When interviewing celebrities like them speak. Nobody wants to hear you talk about a film you once made in college when you have Martin Scorsese sitting opposite you wanting to speak.

Insurance and claim ads. Just no.

Chavs who drive in convoy and when they drive past you walking at 40 shout something at you. When your going at that speed all I can here is "whay". It means nothing.

The support act for Ricky Gervais last night (Robin Ince) brought this very point up. He proposed that they should work out a system for words per mileage. So at 30mph, you can get out a "I f**ked your Dad". At 40mph, a simple "motherf**ker" will do.

Its not all a dealers fault. From someone who is a reformed drug addict (I use to smoke pot heavily for 11 years), drug users and abusers also have to take responsibility for their own actions. No one was forcing it down my throat, and I was the one who got in contact with dealers most days to supply my goods. Dealers may be scum (especially if they deal to kids), but they dont come close to deserving to die.

Anyway the thing that gets on my tits the most is selfish and/or ungrateful people, with a lack of manners. Afterall it doesn't cost anything to be polite. A please, a thankyou or a sorry always goes far if someone does something wrong to you, or if you do something nice for someone.

Mobile phones rock socks, and have saved me many a time. I even had to once use one on a bus, so that I could book an emergancy appointment with my unit on that day (Friday) rather than having to wait till Tuesday (As it was bank holiday monday) So sue me for using my mobile phone!

That's another thing I hate, people who moan about other people using mobiles.......Jeez, your worse than the 60 year olds, who act like 80 year olds in the hospital.

Oh, anotherthing I hate is really really really long games, like Final fantasy 7 that get you hookedso you have to finish it. Grrrrrr.......It's annoying me so much, I've spent over 60 hours on it (including pause time)and am only on disk 2 of 3:eek

I do have to say that no matter what time i get up because I know I do not have to leave before 8:00 I never walk into the kitchen before 7:50. If i get up earlier I make the fatal mistake of thinking i have some time i will turn on the tv then whoosh 40 mins have gone.

Forgive me if im wrong but jack didnt you brag about you and your friends takin drugs when you first came on these forums? or am i thinking of someone else?

Equality

Now, even I’m not going to have a rant about this too much, but it pisses me off how hypocritical it is sometimes. You get/got people campaigning for equal rights, such as women getting the vote, equal pay and all sorts of other things, but if we’re going to allow that, why are some things that blatantly favour a minority fair? It’s bullshit. The reason for me getting annoyed by this is the following news story.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/devon/6574907.stm

Now, if these “people” were men, they would have been sent down. Absolutely no questions about it, and if you doubt that, you are an idiot.

There’s a load of aspects of this “equal rights” thing, which is just biased and hypocritical, so I won’t bother going into it more. If you have a brain, you’ll realise this anyway.

So why the hell are they phoning back!?I work for BT, and I get the exact same thing. Usually they ask to speak to someone in England, but they're not being racist.. I then simply ask them if they realise that not everyone in England is English. The usual reply is, but you're not "one of them" who can't speak English. When you tell them that they wouldn't be employed in said department if they couldn't speak English, they just say something like "you know what I mean."

Being a bast, I simply say, "No, I don't know what you mean", and carry on. The next response to that is usually, but you are British. I then land the blow that really shakes them up by saying, "You do realise that I am of Indian descent, and that my first language isn't English and if they continue to insult me in this way then I will end the call."

It soon makes the caller pretty meek.

I'm not saying it wouldn't be frustrating but the remarks that people come off with can be surreal. I actually have heard a customer say the following 'I think the previous guy I spoke to was from Iran or some other foreign place..probably Al-Qaede*burst out laughing*..'

No problem with that but I'm refering to customers who think it's okay to make racial remarks.

It actually gains you nothing from doing so, I know in my work if you make a racial remark you have an 'abuse' mark put on your account, meaning your call will take twice as long to get through. Up to you I guess.

It pisses me off no end when I call Lloyds TSB card services and I have to speak to a Pakistani woman who I cant understand and who cant understand me. Its EXTREMELY frustrating.I don't have a problem with those who, um, have a problem with poor English speakers. It's the ones who have "I'm no racist, but...." as the first thing they say, and that they think that the people in England are all English.

I've had a guy passed through to me because they wouldn't speak to a call-centre in Scotland. The guy then went on a rant about how he didn't want to speak to a Scottish call-centre. I (politely) retorted that he was actually speaking to a person in the Doncaster call-centre. His reply to this? "But, you're not English." I had to explain to him that not everyone in England is English, which he then said he wouldn't speak to me and that I had to pass him to an English man, because he refused to have a woman deal with his account.

I told him (again, politely) that I was perfectly equipped to deal with the query, and if he didn't want to speak to me, then I would happily end the call. He said I couldn't do that, and that an Englishman wouldn't speak to him like that. I asked him one more time what the reason for the call was (he wouldn't tell the previous advisor), but he refused to tell me, so I thanked him for his time, gave him a contact number, said goobye and terminated the call.

That was an extreme example, but the attitude of some callers is unbelievable. They seem to think we have all these buttons and can do miracles with them.

I'm not making excuses for people like that, some people just have a rotten attitude. I'm speaking from my perspective that when I call a call centre I expect to speak to somebody who I can understand and who can understand me. I'm not bothered if they are English, Welsh, Scottish or German, as long as they can speak clear English and can understand me, I have no issue.

Its when I'm forwarded to somebody in Pakistan who I can barely understand and who cant understand the most plain English. I have to say my surname about 10 times to an Indian woman a few days ago, and then I had to spell it about 20 more because she couldnt understand each letter, and my surname isnt complcated, its PAGE for Christ sake, that she was having that much trouble tells me she has no place working on a call centre that deals with British people. I had a call from Preston the other day. It was an asian bloke on the phone, and he asked me 3 times if Paul Kelly was here. 3 times I said no he is at work. I asked him who was calling, he understood after 2 times. He told me he couldn't give out the name of the company he was working for, and that it was a personal business call, and that I should pass on the number for paul to ring them back. Passed on the message, but he was too arsey for my liking, so I told Paul not to bother ringing them back. They can continue to waste there phone bill ringing at stupid times of the day. This call was about 3 ish. How many people are usually at home at 3?

Grrrr.......I hate companies who won't give me there company name, what's the point in it?

EDIT: The same number has just rang me. This time they had no agents available to take my call, but they kindly informed me it was the department of work and pensions. Why they couldn't tell me this before is stupid. Very confused as too why there calling from Preston, when our center is Blackpool, I don't know. Told them Paul probably will forget to ring, so they should ring when he's actually in.

Its insane. This I do agree with. There are a small minority of the Indian call centre people who have little understanding of English, and I agree, they shouldn't be employed in regards to the demands of the job, especially with the different dialects that permeate the UK. Some of the UK accents when I receive a call are almost impossible to understand. Or they talk so quite (they may be shy, I don't know) that you struggle to hear every single thing they say.

Oh, I've thought of another one. When you ask them for something (postcode say) and you say what you think they've said (i.e. "B" for Bravo), and they go no, repeat the letter they did say, but don't give you an example of a word it starts with, so you then say another letter (i.e. "T" for Tango) and you go through almost the entire alphabet when they could just say something simple like "C" for Cat.

When you arrange a specific date for the electric company to come to change the meter, and they can't be arsed to turn up, with no phone call or anything. :evilOr when they say that an appointment has been made, but when you call up on the day given, you are told that the person you spoke to cannot make appointments for an engineer, but one can be made now.

I have that problem too. Countless times i have had phone companies ringing my house at stupid times (once even at 2 in the morning). Plus you know its them or someone who is going to sell you a contract phone, Loan or apply for a new mortgage when they ask how you are.

EDIT: Talk of the devil i have just had one from a bureau or some sort asking if Mr ******* lives here.....i said he moved 2 years ago and you should update your records ;) nice one :xyx

Being lactose intolerant is actually different to a milk (dairy) allergy. If you are lactose intolerant you won't get the rash, but a dairy allergy can give you hives/excema. If you have the latter, you're supposed to avoid all dairy products altogether. Including goat dairy.

Evil Gringo
28-04-2007, 03:59 PM
But thats the thing, the dotors didn't know what it was so I carried on eating diary. I've had Pizza with Cheese on it, chocolate etc, etc and the rash has subsided due to anti-hestimines throughout this.

Then I have a bit of milk and it flares back up.

Thats what is so strange.

You mean wearing more than people wear on the beach means I have less self respect, right...

were you on a beach? what do you expect people to wear whilst on the beach and what do you expect them to wear in a club/bar/ etc...

the bit where you dont actually explain what pisses you off, the entire thread? just that page? part of what was being talked about on that page?
Obviously, the whole page pisses me off, otherwise I wouldn't have linked to it and left nothing.

You might not see it because I've set my number of posts-per-page higher than default, but it's basically the page with Kurtmark and the friend report. Just look at any post with Kurtmark and it explains itself :)

Agreed on the Kurtmark sentiments, I understand that loyalty should at times bear fruit but when you take a special kid to an airshow you may let him sit in a fighter jet but you wouldn't let him fly the damn thing.

Christof's special attitude ticks me off, Why this site puts up with it I don't know.

Strange as erm, you know there seems to be a lot of agreement on the subject of you as of late Mr KM.

People who don't return text messages or phonecalls by giving one of the following excuses:

*I didn't have any credit
*I've been busy
*You always call/text at the wrong time

Far worse is the calling you then hanging up, expecting you to call them as "you're on contract" or something along those lines.

I dont mind that though as I have free evening and weekend calls. In fact I tell some people to give me three rings then hang up, to which I call them straight back.

Yes by Two people, you and Draven who seem to think it's acceptable to flame other people but not be flamed yourself. Your attitude is and has being appaling quite frankly. If you don't like me fine but there is no need to make posts about it.

Where did that violin smiley go?

KM if you think it's just two people then you're kidding yourself. And if I flame people why have I never been infracted for it? Sure I've had 2 cool offs, both over 2 years ago for flaming / bickering but my recent history has been nice and clean.
