So everyone is near enough starting these things and I just wanted to open up the opinion book on the Gringo as well...

Since I didn't win the big one back at Nova etc, etc and my main fuedal reason for being in TWOStars was laid low by a knee injury what do you think the Gringo as a character should emphasis on next?

What for you are his strengths and weaknesses and what possible creative avenues could we taken the Mexican Sensation in the future?

Please... discuss...

you once refered ot eddie as your insperation. build on that say he was your mentor, build up on the mexicon background

as a newbie what is your reason for staying here in two when gringo could make it big in mexico, canida or anywhere else

why stay with Mamicita when she is rarely seen

your strenghts are your writting, promos ect

but your weakness is for you to find out

Gringo is in danger of becoming the perennial floating upper-mid carder, not doing all that much but being involved in practically every main storyline.

People will want to feud with you, and that is your biggest strength - that people love to work with you - but right now you don't have any clear-cut enemies or any clear-cut friends, although this latest storyline could put an end to that.

Plus I think the new "hardcore Gringo" with all the baseball bats and barbed wire and hacksaws or whatever it is these days doesn't really suit you at all. In fact when I read a promo and you pull out yet another barbaric weapon I fell that for a writer of your standard that this is a cop-out.

The Gringo doesn't need weapons, the Gringo is a man of a million moves.

Ditch the weapons, mate, and become a proper face, not an anti-face as you kind of now are, and get yourself a real locker-room ally or two.

And stick to what Gringo does best and out-lucha everyone.

Cheers!

i agree instead of going hardcore go Dean Malenko the man of a thousand moves. you are the sort of character that doesnt need weapons to fall back on.

someone like twiggie then yes as he is the self proclained hardcore champion whilst it doesn't suit you.

to be honest the first time i read one of your pieces of work and i know that i have already said this but i was put in mind of Eddie when he had chyna , doing what ever to get the win but doing it in a way that made the fans love him for doing it, you have the Black Dragon plus your lady friend.

you have to decide what YOU want to do with Gringo. I see him at the moment as an outsider using Deadman to get what he wants and when the smoke is cleared then watch out as Gringo is about

Gringo rules. I really enjoy working with the Gringo character and I would say my best work match wise in TWO was the two out of three falls match, which your character allowed me to do.

For me Gringo is our go to guy.

Go to Gringo if you want to get someone over (Cage last summer, the Elimination Chamber, even Dominator, hopefully The New Blood).

And also the go to guy if you want a top feud - for example with myself, with the DA and with myself and Gower.

I agree with the weapons though, you're also a face - you shouldn't neeed weapons (especially with all those damn moves you've got :P)

The weapon this week was a repsonce to the feeling of being out numbered and threatened by all those around me...

The results of why and how this current Gringo incarnation will playout I promise as it's just a step gap before an important plot point...

As for rarely being seen with Mamacita these days? Again the numbers situation as she could be a person that could cost the Gringo his advantage but I believe in keeping her around from a character stand point that she can really add to an angle which I'm sure you'd agree with when you read the work I did with DC and Darky back in the Summer and Autumn of last year.

Since then there has been no call for that sort of angle but the option is there, it's all about creative outs and go to points for me with Mami...

And I'm not a newcomer Iagan/Dodo. I have been here since the start, held the top gold and want to reclaim my crown which I has always (and still do from a character level) believe was robbed from me and kept from me by the workings of other people.

But after the next ppv the true Gringo is to emerge and I'm glad to read everyone's thoughts on what that should be, needless to say that it will be a suprise for you to read.

Well I love the Gringo character, just the way you incorporate the little mexican bits into his esence.

Second you have a LOT of trademark moves, you tried to cut them down but theres still a LOT of them. I'm not saying you should cut more cause like you said in you'r opinion if you took more trademark moves it would take away from the "esence" of the Gringo character. So make us care about you'r whole arsenal of moves, try to put that into you'r promos, try to label Gringo as the man of a thousand moves that no matter what you throw at him he will always have something on his sleeve.

Ohh and when you decide to go heel again, give Mamacita a good beating (Well the character obviously. :P)

Apart from that everything is fine with me about Gringo.

I always enjoy your promo's Gringo, i can honestly say that I never skip past them! i agree with the sentiments about being "the man of a thousand moves" It's what I think of when I think of the Mexican Sensation. I always think of gringo being Face ediie when the whole big deal about his temper was being made by the commentators. the Whole "he'd be great if he didn't lose his temper" bit.

There's no way anyone can say that the quality if your work needs to improve as I don't think it could. If i'd say anything at all it would be to define the bounderies of Gringo's character. If he's face then would he attack camera men with bats? There's a very fine line i think to be drawn between the cool, agressiveness that was Eddies trademark character and being slighty OTT which confuses the characters morality/alignment. i do understand that Gringo is more Anit-face/Tweener than true face but with the way that the storyline is panning out a more face approach would be better? Only my opinion though.....

Every wrestling organisation needs its mega stand out face character as well as it's mega stand out heel character.

Gringo needs to be the face mega-star.

Cheers!

Where is Gringo going now since Black Dragon betrayed him? It is a bit hard to tell. I guess that he is going to be a thorn in New Bloods side but apart fromthat what?

And where is his Mamacita? Is there plans for her down the line

This is an old and out of date thread.

It will remain so.
