A handful of players claimed exhaustion. Funny, but some of those Bayern Munich players that ended up in the final didn't look very tired. Could it have affected just their foreign teammates?
One possibility is the dirty little secret of doping. Credible sources have consistently said they suspect the European clubs of enhancing their players just short of the testing line.
Those players would have had to get clean in April to test negative for the World Cup. Perhaps they cannot perform at the same level without the "assistance." It is a factor worth consideration.
Very interesting, and it was written by an american.
