Right folks
With silly season ending (save for mine and Telf's match) it is now time to crack on with the build for No Mercy. Needless to say I have been impressed with a number of you recently and the upcoming booking shall reflect this as we gear up for No Mercy and the Surivior Series events.
Title holders (myself particually included) please remember why you were given your titles. If you don't put the miles in don't expect to be holding the gold for too long. If you or anyone else is having issues with their availability or character then please speak to myself or Darkstar, we are here to help.

The in bed with Keith Jaxx segment made me laugh and be terrified all at the same time. I also got a Dante promo in earlier. I think he's going to become a bit darker.....
Aww yeah! My first match, and against Retromark no less (oo~ooh I wonder who he'll be!). Could I be sent the booking for that match?

Remember people! Get building!
May I quote Han...
"I don't want a title shot, at least not for year"
Now then, this seems to be going against his wishes. You must surely consider that this may in fact drive him out of the fed

All I can say is that I was given the booking and carried it through...
No one is saying he is gonna get the gold (hell I don't know anything more then what I was told to write for this week) but the fact is that both needed a fued, the training school needed pimping and it gets over the ruthlessness of TLA, the cockyness of Trash and a nice little under dog story going for Rush....
Also it's something for him to build on if he makes it through training and wants to work too...
I feel its a nice piece of booking... plus he said title shot, I think meaning a World One... if he gets one then at the moments its only an US one so no harm done I say...
But apart from all that... what did you all think? A nice little jobber match with added agenda? Or tosh?
Darkstar
20-09-2005, 11:29 PM
I enjoyed it mate, well written in a short timescale. :)
Quick promo up with Sickness going back to his monster roots (by ripping off Hot rod :D).

It wasn't crappy. It was short, but I was really excited for my first win.

I found it quite frustrating to write, to be honest Twiggie.
Your character is quite small (a cruiserweight), yet he has heavyweight moves and uses a fast pace to control the match.
It was kinda confusing.
That's the reason I had the Frankensteiner, concussion thing. I couldn't have you tossing my guy (who is a heavyweight) around the ring.
I see where you're coming from. Twiggie is a strange kind of wrestler. I think of strings of moves where he uses his speed to get in a few quick hits, then follow them up with something powerful, and either going high risk or for a submission after that.
Christof
21-09-2005, 08:03 PM
Yes but at 194 pounds he can't really hit much in the way of power moves, that is what RM is referring to I think
I get ya. He really doesn't have that much in the way of power moves. I've successfully pulled off pumphandles on guys quite a bit bigger than myself, if you've got good footing you can take most of the weight. Other than that he's got a gut wrench power bomb, and the hanging fisherman brainbuster. Yeah both of those take a little stretch of the imagination, but they're not completely unrealistic.
MrFill
22-09-2005, 01:06 AM
The way I viewed it was that he can use the "power" moves on guys who are about his size, otherwise he just uses the speed moves - kind of like Hurricane and his chokeslam.
Well, yeah, but I think he could do the Twiggie-plex on anyone who isn't huge. There's no way he's going to fisherman brainbuster Holt or anything.
Just another quick promo setting up the inevitable with regards to Da Meltz and Triple V
The follow up will be up at some point tomorrow evening
Meanwhile, I'll be playing Day of Reckoning 2 which came in the post today :)

Not trying to make this all about Twiggie and his move set but I need to ask:
Twiggie-plex (stylized pump-handle brainbuster side suplex, which ends in a pinning position)
Huh? :? Any chance you can spell this out a little more for me because I am not 100% sure I am picturing it right.
BTW, I've PMed Christof to ask for the main event. Someone had to! :P

Keith Jaxx is one of the greatest mentally retarted gays i have ever heard of. i really liked the begining of the show and the whole thing is way better and so much good compared to the silly season. I feel proud to be a part of TWOstars, the best e-fed IMO on the net.
:thumbsup guys, from the owner Darkstar to his faction, to Gringo and Vengeance, Re-evolution or the million dollar corporation, to the great ravenmarkand arkham...sorry if i did miss anyone but :xyx for a really exellent and great e-fed!

Trying to "verbalize" the Twiggie-plex:
You start from a pump handle position (their hand between their legs while they're bent over).
Flipping the opponent up onto the shoulder, in this case you leave them more "vertical".
Dropping down slightly on the site so that they land on their head (the brainbuster part).
After they've landed on their head, you let them fall to their back and roll on top.
The "side suplex" part isn't really needed, but from what I see the head falls from waist height to the mat.
Of course, I could be horribly wrong. :D

If you've made a start, then by all means PM over any ideas/finished bits you have and I'll work them in. Plus, I'd actively appreciate you PMing me if you have any particular things you do/don't want BG doing. I'll do my best to get everyone's characters right.

Its sort of like that. You got the first part right, leaving them more vertical on your shoulder. But Twig jumps into the air and lands more on his side(so they're facing each other) for the brainbuster part, and then rolls over them into the pin. Does that make more sense? You know, now that I think about it it's not much of a suplex, is it? Maybe I'll rename it the Twig-Handle Buster. What do you guys think?
EDIT- Sorry, I didn't mean to dominate the thread :oops

Or to but it even simpler...

It is one of those but with a Pumphandle set up and a bit more of a jump...

Well Fill as you probably know... There is no exact translation from kanji into English for the second word of the move...
It is known as Fusion, Froison, Frozen and how you spelt it...
The more popular choice is the one you spelt and linked to... The one I chose was the one in my head...
Here is the exact desricption which your link doesn't go to...
Emerald Frosion
This is a sitout side powerslam in which the wrestler lifts the opponent up on his right shoulder like in a Front powerslam. The wrestler wraps his right arm around the opponent's neck, and the left arm around the opponent's torso. The wrestler then sits down while flipping the opponent forward to the right side of him, driving the opponent neck and shoulder first into the mat.
The move was named by Mitsuharu Misawa. There is no direct translation from the Japanese language name "エメラルドフロウジョン (Emeraludo Furoujon)". Emerald Frosion is the most common one, as it's the closest to the pronounciation. Other translations are Emerald Fusion and Emerald Flowsion.
However the Frozen theroy came about due to Misawa using the move from his match with Kobashi to counter act the BURNING spirit of Kobashi and the Burning Hammer, in fact it was a move he thought up to put him away as this was in a match up that came after the one where Kobashi kicked out of the Tiger Driver '91, Misawa's previous alpha grade finisher....
Frozen equals Ice which would be cold and defeat Burning or flame....

BTW, talking of visualising moves, if anyone saw the new move Snitsky used to finish Matt Hardy with a couple of weeks ago on Raw - that scoop slam onto the shoulder and swing down into a slam thingy - that is as close to the Gamma Slam as I've ever seen. Imagine he'd landed it in a left-handed Rock Bottom/Uranage, not a Side Effect type thingy and there you have it.
Oops. All I knew was it hadn't been claimed in this thread and I got a PM today from TGO saying:

You mean... Imagine the Catatonic or Gunn Slinger but instead of starting from a Fall Away slam start you start off the shoulder instead?
Yep I can pretty much visualise it....
Nice move.
BB, I've found a new name for you, closely resembling Holly's new gimmick...
The Gamma Banner Slammer!
No?

Cheers. Not that anyone usually uses it when writing for BB, mind. :( I also tend to get pins off the Gamma Bomb (not supposed to be a finisher really) instead of peeps tapping to my actual finisher, the Gammalock. But, as many a wise man has said, meh. :)
It's settled then. My finisher shall be named the Twiggaludo Frosion. It's a stlyized pumphandle Emerald Frosion. Many thanks be to Evil Gringo for the clearing of any an all confusion. I'll go update my profile now.
The video package of Triple V and Meltzer is up

the Video Package is great. Star Wars? That is one great idea! I loved it. That is another consequence of silly season. And one more thing, don't ever let Vengeance drive a car or truck again. that is for public safety, and not his only.
As for Judge/Jodi vs Sickness/Boyo. It was obvious to me what was going to happen from the promo backstage before it. But it was a really good match. I liked it a lot, and I found Paul Rog's writing to be an enjoyable and special writing. Much Good to ME! :xyx
Nice show so far guys! Baz, I've only just figured out that Jaxx is your alter ego... Hmmm, maybe I should form my own alter-ego as well, top secret, seeing this kind of this is in vogue?
Nice tag match, but a couple of questions for PaulRog:
1. What is a BoyoDriver? I perform this move yet have no idea what it is supposed to be.
2. When did Boyo starting attempting Shooting Star Presses? I don't think Boyo's ever climbed higher than the second rope. (OK, once I performed a hip-toss from the top rope but that was in one of my first matches in ERE and I didn't like it. :P)
Generally, it looked as if you read the Dark Alliance profile for the entrance (which was spot on) but not really for the moves - it didn't really feel like a Dark Alliance moveset.
However I will give you much respect for altering the Cross Infection so Sickness does the Stunner and Boyo does the DDT, that was a real nice touch and a great twist to a move normally done entirely by Sickness.
I also like the fact you used the Annihilator Powerbomb - that's a top move if I say so myself. :)
Cheers!
