What an upset! Is it an omen for things to come¿¿

I honestly don't think the result is that huge. Don't get me wrong, I thought France would win the match but Senegal are no mugs, they were runners up in the African Nations Cup after all, and France have got an aging side, so perhaps this isn't as surprising as some may think.

As for omens, no team that has lost the first match has gone on to win the tournament, so that's my prediction blown out of the water!

I gotta agree with Sabba here i dont think it was as big an upset as people are hyping it up too be.Anyone who saw the African Nations Cup knows Senegal are not a bad team and i think the French team although it is still very good is certainly past its best.Henry,Trezeguet,Viera and Zidane are truly world class players but sadly i think the rest of them have all seen better days and boy oh boy dont they miss Zidane when he doesnt play

Its obvious where the problem lies in the France team - a lack of pace down the middle of the defense. I don't think Lebouef should be in that team. He is great at picking out passes but his number 1 role in the team is to be able to defend which he blatantly can't do. He is far too slow and Gallas of Chelsea would have been a better pick. If I was the Denmark manager I would let Peter Lovenkrands loose on Lebouef. He would get skinned alive.

Can't fault Thuram or Lizarazu, I would play Gallas or Silvestre in Le Bouef's role, I think Desaily still has alot to offer despite his poor display on Friday. I don't think anyone released how much France need Zidane and Pires.

Also I would of picked Laurent Robert insted of Manu Petit.
