to clear up some information

Wow it seems as if ages since I posted here last. Having a son sure keeps me busy. I HAD NOT EVEN BEEN IN THE ROOMS FOR 4 weeks until last week. I did come in under a different name because I tend to get flack when I do come in ( which is my own fault). When I did switch my name over Colin proceeded to accuse me of coming in and logging in as the Guru Guy or Rick. I am letting everyone know this I have not nor ever done that. He then proceeded to tell me that Russ told him it was my IP address. WEll I spoke to Russ and he didnt say it was mine he said that it was similar to mine. I do believe Russ.

There are alot of people in my area that have the same ISP that I do and that know I write a column for smash wrestling. Just like their are alot of people that have aol or the popular one in the UK that do come in there, but that does not mean that they are the same person that caused trouble before.

When I explained this to Colin he proceeded to harass me and even swear at me in PM. I even explained that my computer had been hacked a few weeks back and he continued. Still to this day no APOLOGY nothing.

I know I have done wrong in the chat before, but I have apologized for all of that and have tried to make amends with some people, but that is water under the bridge now.

I am letting you know that was not me in there posing as the Guru Guy or Rick or whatever it was that I have been accused of. So before you go accusing anyone, ask them first and make sure.

Oh my god.....it's a chatroom for heaven's sake! Really, step back a minute an look how ridiculous your thread looks.....

And, since you brought it up, can you do me a favour and explain what happened when you were hacked? What kind of things did you notice? Because I can probably bet that you weren't hacked, merely confused about what your PC was up to.

Really, people jump to conclusions far too quickly these days.....

Ok I shall try and respond without the intention of winding anyone up and just from the chat room POV (or perhaps just mine and I dont speak for all mods)

You hadn't been in the room no but your sister had come on as your name. I am assuming that thisis still the case?

Indeed this all sounds good so far.

Correct however what isnt pointed out is that no matter what IP address or username or whatever, if a user is breaking the rules to such an extent where users were getting offended and people are called into the room via MSN then thats serious enough to ban.

Ok if you have a computer how on earth would you, hack it, know your chat room name, get into that chat room and cause hassle? Why would someone do that because if they have that level of control on your computer (and it would have to be a complete take over situation) there would be other things a miscellanious hacker would do than just enter a chat room with your name...

Although a number of people may know you work for smash why on earth would they go to all the effort to find smashwrestling, login as you and then cause hassle.

I would seriously recommend that you get a virus scanner, update it as soon as its installed and do a complete sweep. If you were hacked then you might find a lot of nastry trojans on there that you NEED and HAVE to get rid off.

As for an apology, I assume this is what you spoke to me about breifly wanting an apology from myself for banning that IP address and that user, and no im not saying it was you, but i banned WHOEVER that was causing hassle AV. Im not about to start baning people, emailing them to say why they are banned at this present time..

if it helps AV there have been a number of imposters and such but thats part and parcel of being so well known in the room.

If people are being cloned or mimiked in the chat room then send me a emial via TWO and Iwill deal with it. I can keep logs if needs be of who logs on and off, what times and when

Arn't we the little bag of lies? First I do you expect me to trust you straight away? I mean you had just logged on after a different name and you expect me to trust you after that? Jeez! Oh wait, arn't we the clever one "forgetting" to mention we logged on under a different name. Sorry had to get that little one out the way first.

Second you are accusing me of being harassive. Who was the one who wouldn't stop the PMs? Oh wait wasn't that you? Also who was the one swearing while sending those PMs? Oh wait that was you too. Who also swore when I inquired why you had just used a fake name? Oh wait that was you again. Now let's see what I said which was abusive to you...well I did say pissed...that's it to my memory.

Sorry about that. Just had to get it off my chest. I feel better after I've done that....Oh and as for that apology...here it is...

A very good point indeed, in future AV perhaps you could indicte in the title of your post whether or not we are likely to be interested in the contents.
