Lets get some more promo's up guys so that we can get to know the charcter, it helps us all when we have to write matches as we can learn more about each others charcters and their mannerisms by reading the promos

yeah. im thinking of doing a promo, but looking at last weeks main event, i was...shall we say, incapacitated by VVV. so i dont know if im going to appear on Xtreme TV this week, or if im recovering.....

well with your mania match coming up, it is your's and VVV's job to build it up to make it a big match, you don't neccessariliy have to be at the arena to promo either. It could be a recorded interview for example and then you show up next week to take him out in some way. Or VVV watches the interview back stage on a monitor, laughs his way through - massive POP, the Prototype is standing behind him with a baseball bat or something and makes a revenge attack.

Good match Gringo, must be hard to write that many falls. it reads exceedingly quickly maybe thats just me but I also have that trouble in my matches, adding length to them. Thats why I always stick an ad break in so that the match length is increased. nice finish though and the classic stare down, I can't wait for mania now Gringo!

No your right... when I look back through it I thought I may have done things a bit too quickly... But with it being a battle royal and the ring being packed then I thought it would start hetic...

To be fair, i may be overly harsh, the hectic start made sense, it was very much like the WWE style of Battle Royal, get rid of half very quickly. Once you were down to three competitors the action got to a much nicer pace. It really was a good match Gringo, just wondering if you had an ideas as to how we can fill matches slightly.

Also, what did people think about the Holt backstage thing, I realised after I posted the match that TIH was meant to go ballistic and take out Welsh Scouser, but forgot to write it!

I liked the backstage antics between Holt and Trash, it established their characters further and the relationship between them...

Also thought it made Holt look a bit more monsterous, which is a good thing....

As for filling out matches? Well my singles match with the Dominator was easier because it was straight one on one. I enjoy writing them more and I think know how to pace them better....

Start of cagey, one man gets an advantage and works a part, other guy reverses and gets a part and works that... Both start to hit big moves in frustration to try and knock the other guy out... use the body parts worked on before to either reverse a move or the momentum.... Eventually they hit the finish for the pin or submission...

Also having a guy in a finishinh submission and him escaping and hitting his finish in desparation is another soild move... results in a double KO situation and a 10 count... Nasty spills to the outside as well could help their... Written properly they can add excitment and drama to a match rather then just being a lengthing tool.

But thats just my take after watching puro. They don't use resthold to push match length, just stuff like this.

After having others read the match, I was told that Holt looked slightly weak after the "clean" pin from Scouser. Which I suppose tells the story well, to WS he got a "clean" pin after hitting his finishing move, Holt got a cheap loss after being knocked out by poor interference and could have been pinned at any point. Its good becasue in theory it keeps Holt and WS both strong into Mania.
I did however want to bring some fire back into Holt's character so having him blitz a couple of stage hands always helps, it also helped to establish Trash as the one that starts trouble but always gets someone else to do the dirty work.

I am trying to run to the same idea of yours, where a body part is worked over and the momentum is switched a couple of times, I suppose practice will make perfect!

I think the important thing if your gonna pin someone clean is to make sure that they get plenty of offense in... Make it see saw and exciting so they stay strong as it can percieved that it could either way...

Unless someone says squish em of course lol....

Its like I did with Dominator, we hit big moves, reversed some and traded big submissions as well. He hit his finish but I was too close to the ropes and took advantage of his mistakes... It also told a story of power against speed and strikes and finding a way around each others strengths....

If you read alot of Play by play reviews of classic puro matches from the 1990's and some RoH then you can visualise and write a really cool match. I might even rip off CM Punk and Samoa Joe for me and AC at Mania lol...

great stuff gringo and christof. im really getting into the Trash and Holt segs, theyre great. umm just a question seen as ive never seen the move before, but what is a razors edge?

Razor's Edge id the move used by Scott Hall. Pwerbomb positioning to lift then you perch the guy on his back over your shoulders, you drop to your knees, he goes forwards, head and shoulders impact. Was quite a devastating move when Hall first used it.
