You see the reason I don't go to shows in the UK (apart from the fact that I hate the kids who find wrestling boring who make lots of noise that I find it hard to concentrate on the story of the match) are because of the use of the WWF-style ('Sports Entertainment').

The first part never got posted. I'm look for WRESTLING companies in the UK, who run matches only with psychology and build.

You'll be lucky to find one anywhere in the world.

there arnt any because that type of show dont sell tickets. no promoter is gonna spend thousands just to entertain a minority of smart fans when they could aim for the big market. again we are talking about the wrestling business key word BUSINESS !

So, you suddenly want Britain to adopt a Japanese style of culture.
If you want a show bereft of kids and with about 30 puro fans in attendance, then book and promote it yourself...I just hope your bank balance is pretty healthy before you do.

Jesus, I was only looking for a good WRESTLING product in the UK... why make it out that it's me with the problem just because I know better than to think 'Sports Entertainment' is all high and mighty.

You're not the only person that likes wrestling round here Jack. The way you talk its as if we all hate wrestling and only tune in to see Stephanie McMahons half hour promos. It doesn't make sense from a business perspective to have a total wrestling show in the UK. It wouldn't sell. I think that is the point that Tsu, as a promoter himself, was trying to make.

Oh, but Crippler, all I here from WWF fans is that you couldn't have a totally wrestling (with build and psychology etc.) because a) most don't understand it and b) It'd be 'too boring'...
You see, that's a) why I hate fans in the UK and b) decided not to get trained because I knew that with em putting psychology and build into my matches they'd get apathy.

Tsu's point was the one prior to Jack's and so I thought Jack was aiming his at Tsu's post. But you're right you did make the same comment. My mistake. :)

Just out of curiosity how many LIVE events have you been to?
***' all the noise and story's and stuff make the event, I dont know how a wrestler would perform in silence or in a quiet enviroment. Maybe I am reading the post wrong..

a good few less events than me.
I can see where Jack is coming from with a desire to see a decent bit of psychology in the ring. Right now every one (ie, those of the great unwashed) expects wresting tobe show like the WWF, with all it's glitz, glamour and slick production formula.
And plenty of poeple do run matches with build and psychology, they just hide it under much cheaper production value. But it just requires looking to find it. Maybe you shuldtry looking for it Jack.

Come on Dan!
Gary Graham, owner of Wrestle-zone and Wrestling reviewer has been to less live events than you?
What are you thinking of man?
I appreciate he didn't get to the SCW show, and I appreciated the sound man job you did at the Neon, but surely your total is still around 5?
The guy lives and breathes Wrestling. I'm getting worried about this Dan. In fact I reckon Evil-Dan is not just you but a co-operative. You know, like the rumours about Shakespeare or....
(desperately trying to think of an example closer to your heart...)
....the Borg, from Star Trek.
Reckless Eric Scarboro.
i think if you all had a conversation with jack you would realise he aint THAT bad...
he does actually know what he is talking about...(half of the time anyway...:D )
