The
Light Heavyweight Division: What the Hell is that?

To
steal from the Rock (I know it is my first column and I am already desperate)
what in the blue hell have the WWF done with the light heavyweight division ?
I mean, come on they have Tajiri holding
the Cruiserweight belt. I have no problem with Tajiri holding the belt as
he is an excellent talent but when he wrestles make him wrestle FOR the belt and
not against Goldust. Tajiri should
be getting exposure on Smackdown. When was the last time you saw Tajiri
on television without watching Metal? The guy is agile, quick and has the
best kicks in the business. If you’re going to put the belt on Tajiri at least
let him defend it..
The
WWF had people like Elix Skipper, Kwee Wee, Kaz Hayashi, Yang, Evan Karagias and
they didn’t use them. I know Vince likes big guys and they still have Jaime
Knoble and Shannon Moore and EZ Money. These guys are getting rave revies down
in HWA yet you would rather have the Godfather on TV or the Bossman? I don’t
think so.
Why are they letting their talent being wasted down there?
A
possible solution would be to broadcast HWA and OVW because Maven and Nidia are
still working down there and you need to remind people Nidia is still around.
These wrestlers are fantastic competitors and deserve exposure nationally. Sign
Kid Kash and Josh from Tough Enough. In my eyes Josh should always have been the
winner not the man with a bigger eyebrow than The Rock (Maven if you couldn’t
figure that out). . Seriously look at his eyebrow the next time you see him. The
things are frickin HUGE, it is like a pair of Yorkshire terriers have been stuck
to his forehead.
Sign
old WCW talent like Rey Mysterio Junior (Oh they already have woo hoo!) and
Juvetud Guerrera for starters ( I cant think of any others at the moment).
Hurricane Helms should be given his old gimmick back although I think the
Hurricane is a good gimmick I prefer to see the Sugar Smack and the Vertabreaker
instead. Billy Kidman and Chavo Guerrero Junior should be given new gimmicks and
all the Cruiserweights could possibly form a faction. Jerry Lynn should be
resigned STRAIGHT AWAY!!!!!!!!!!! You could form an excellent cruiserweight
division with these people alone. They are solid, dependable and exciting
Cruisers.
Also
Indy talent like Scoot Andrews, Christopher Daniels, American Dragon and Low-Ki
should be signed. If they don’t work out quietly take them off TV and they
would gain more exposure gaining more indy deals for them and more experience
therefore being better overall wrestlers. Other excellent signings would be
Jonny Storm and Jodie Fleisch (aaargh what a crap name that is) and bang, there
ya go, an instantly successful light heavyweight division.
All
of the people above can wrestle especially Jerry Lynn ( I’ve seen him have
matches on WWF TV and I’ve heard rave reviews of his ECW matches) Re-sign K
Kwik and give him a decent gimmick (K Krush sounds much better and don’t make
him rap on his way to the ring) he can wrestle, TAKA Michinoku is a phenomenal
talent although usually Japanese wrestlers are treated like crap by Vince. Stop
Kaeintai being the Japanese Brooklyn brawlers of the wrestling world. And please
(I am begging you Vince) resign the man the myth Essa Rios and allow him time to
show off his skills on Smackdown.
